Was a good game. Leslie makes their free throws they win 10+ in my opinion. Thought Profitt girl might've got fouled on last play, but could've went either way.

i just look at all the other teams, that is left in the 14th region. Leslie Co. or Hazard will have a easy road to the region championship. and the other team will have KCC to deal with. 53th is KCC vs LCC, 55th Jackson City vs Wolfe Co., 56th Powell Co. vs Lee Co.

I thought the refs could have called a foul at the end of this game but I also thought the refs let one go when profitt went over the back and hit a girl with an elbow which either one would have been her fifth foul so it all works out I guess. congrats to profitt on a good game and career

I just watched one of the most exciting games I've seen in a long time. It's a shame Perry and Leslie had to play first game of district. Proffitt played a great game and Hall's big 3 to send it to overtime is just what she does. The entire PCC team played hard and well. You girls have nothing to hang your head about... Hats off to Leslie and their coaching staff. You girls can shoot it and all of you defend it really well. You play great team ball and the hustle was unbelievable,, And WOW!! the little Mullins girl had a big night. First time I've got to see her this year. That kid is fast. CONGRADS and I'm done. Seeya next season.

As long as they have Hannah Kash theyâre in business. Extremely heady little guard that is clearly the best guard in the region. And theyâre not a one girl show either. Theyâve got several complimentary parts to help Kash, particularly the 6â4 eighth grader Morgan Hinkle. She looked fantastic tonight in their win over Estill and has improved by leaps and bounds since the first of the year.
That All A championship when Lee defeated Hazard, Leslie and Knott was not a fluke.

Leslie beat us in the ALL A. Then Lee beat them and Knott. Lee is a team that can send any of us home. Congratulations to the Lady Bulldogs and Lady Eagles on their wins tonight. The PCC and Leslie game was fun to watch. I don't think it really matters who wins the district championship between these two. You can't draw an automatic win as winner or runner-up. Every team in it can beat you on a given night.

Ive said all season Leslie is the class of the region. They have beaten Hazard x 2, PCC, and Knott. They can be beat, but is the heavy favorite to win the region.

Leeâs 15-12 record is deceiving. They played better from the All A onward than at the first of the season. And the region is played in their backyard at Estill County, a mere 30 minute drive from Beattyville.

It's a shame one of these teams had to lose, but one great team wasn't going to make it out of the 54th district from the beginning.
Leslie pulled ahead in the fourth and had multiple opportunities to put away the Dores and couldn't do it until the very end of overtime.

They played Hazard Jan 27 and lost by 30 but Kash, who averages 27 ppg, did not play due to an ankle sprain.

All the teams in this district are always really close. So it was not out of the realm of possibility that Powell would of won last night. They have been playing well as of late, and even knocked off the #1 team in the region last week, Knott.
And as far as the free throw difference, there are many factors that goes into those types of things, no I was not their, due to my Lady Pats playing, but I hear Owsley strictly played a perimeter game and shot a lot of shots outside the paint and the 3 pt line. Powell had a game plan of going inside every time, which means more fouls for Owsley which means more free throws. I also heard when Powell got the ball they pushed it up the floor and drove it to the basket every chance they got, which again sounds like a lot of fouls possible. Then in the 2nd half, Owsley was down so they started pressing which again led to more fouls or layups by Powell county. On defense, Powell played 2 girls on Maci one in front and one behind, the other 3 packed in the lane and dared Owsley to shoot which they did over and over again without changing anything. Sounds like to me, coaching came into play in this one. One team made adjustments and one didn't. Was just Powell counties night, and that is why they play the game.

It's funny, I remember last season at this same time. The Lee County fans were on here complaining because Owsley had upset them in the district. And Owsley shot 40 freethrows in that game and Lee County shot 15. And you same Owsley fans were saying. We were just taking it to the basket and lee county was shooting 3's.
Funny how much difference a year makes. Lol
