Knott led wire to wire ....

Ally Collett didn’t play, pretty good for South to go wire to wire without her.. and south had 2 chances to take the lead in the 4th but missed FTs

Knott has a really nice team. South is not real deep. With ally Collett not playing in this one hurt souths chances for sure. That is not why they lost. Worst def performance in first half I had seen from south. Bus ride to buckhorn sucks monkey nuts so I say just not ready to play. 2nd half they found some heart but couldnât make fts or get the big shot to fall on several chances to take the lead in the 4th.

What route did you take to Buckhorn from London? Was it to Hazard on the parkway, then route 15 north, and get on route 28. That route 28 road between Chavies and Buckhorn is about as mountainous and curvy as it gets in eastern Kentucky.
The another route would be to Manchester and then route 11 to Oneida and from Oneida through what is known as Squabble Creek on to Buckhorn. That way might be shorter but probably doesnât save any time.
The other option would be through Jackson County on route 30 to Booneville in Owsley County and then follow route 28 for 18 miles to Buckhorn. That way is approximately 60 miles. And route 30 from London is a new road for 20 miles to Tyner in Jackson County. Then it gets curvy again for about 12 miles until you get To Travelers Rest in Owsley where thereâs another 7 miles of new road into Booneville. That way migh have been the best option.
When all is considered, though, thereâs probably not a good way to Buckhorn from London, or vice-versa, lol.

Not much closer for KCC.

Just looked it up.
From London to Buckhorn through the Hazard route is 86 miles. Through the route 30 route by way of Booneville is 60 miles.

killerb Wrote:Not much closer for KCC.True, thatâs about a 40 miles per the google check I did. But that route 28 section between Chavies and Buckhorn makes it feel much longer.
Anyway, getting back to the ball game topic, thatâs a big win for Knott Central. They have a very good team and are definitely in the mix for a regional title.
Killerb , has Knott played Perry this year? I havenât heard too much about Perry. Seems they havenât played many region teams, which is puzzling.

No

Cromer and Collett out that hurts South bad. Cromer shoots the three well. Cromer could be the best three point threat in the Region.

We took hazard to 15 then on to the beautiful but not much fun 28 to buckhorn.

There is no good way to and from buckhorn but it was for a wonderful event from what I hear from friends for a wonderful family Wins losses. Bad roads etc are really not a factor.

Buckhorn is a great community. Theyâre very supportive of their teams.

Cromer played last night. Kamryn Thornsberry played outstanding defense on Cromer.

Is Collett ok?

That was on double foul and Kam was not involved in play.

I don't know who was guarding who, or who Kam is. Just being sarcastic.

This is a good win for Knott county. They have been inconsistent this year and need to clean things up before post season.
