Why do you not see any teams playing the box in 1? I haven't seen any teams try this and shut down the other teams best player. In the 13th and 12th Regions no coach does it. Maybe they can shut down the Corbin boys(Stewart,Taylor) or the kid for Pulaski. Even Turner at Knox. Any reasons why they don't?

I have seen it and the triangle and 2 used this year, but you're right, most coaches won't do it anymore. I think the main reason is because other coaches know to screen the other team out of those gimmick defenses. If you'll screen a lot for the guy being chased, it almost always causes confusion and mistakes by the defense. Just my theory though.

I've seen it a few times this year. Even in a JV game once.

If you ran a Box-1 on Knox's Turner, the rest of the team would eat you. Things like that is why you don't see it very often.
