What are the transfer rules for Kentucky high school basketball. If a player has played for another school until January 30th and decides to transfer to another school (without moving or changing address) would they be able to play baseball for the school they transferred to or would they have to wait a year?

So a player can transfer when the season is almost over and still play another sport? What about basketball? Can they finish with the new school?:thanks:

Everybody gets eligible in the 14th no matter when or where they transfer.

Basically 1 year from your last varsity game. So no not eligible for baseball.

There are a lot of variables. Does the school he is transferring to have a member that sits on the KHSAA Board of Control? There was a case about 4 years ago when a kid transferred from School A to School B. School B was told he was ineligible because of his academic record at School A and it would be mathematically impossible for him to become eligible within a year. The kid transfers from School B to School C and immediately becomes eligible to play. School C has a member that sets on the KHSAA Board of Control.
