This score kind of surprised me. Does anyone have any details of what happened?

I knew Paintsville was going to be much improved this year but I didn’t think they would be knocking off Floyd Central this year. Now two big matchups thiese next couple of weeks in the 57th as they play home and away with Johnson Central.

FC still does not look as good as everyone expected them to be.

FC has just been far too inconsistent. They show flashes of being a regional contender one game, then lay an egg the next. I’m not sure what the problem is over in Floyd County, but they better put it together soon or the natives will be crying for a coaching change for next season.

It is knd of odd. One game they play like they can beat anyone in the region. Next game is a struggle. I think they are 12-8 right now but some of the looses are to teams like Knox,Chapmanville Regional,madison,Skills factory(Ga), and university heights and none were blowouts..
I think they have a good team, if its on its game..
Paintsville is 16-5 right now, they are a good team too

Yes Coach Slone is doing a good job, but both these schools need to remember they are playing in the worst region in the state.... 16th is right with them...

15th has not been great in a while. that's why some teams are playing so much outside of the region..Not trying to take up too much for FC (because I think they should be better than what they are) but they have played a lot of games outside the 15th this year and still have more to go

The Jags have played or are going to play 4 of the current top 20. Trinity and Scott County are one and two and Chapmanville was number two in their class. Most of those games are on the schedule for next season too. Paintsville had a good game. Congrats on the win.

Officiating was awful. Have never seen three referees be so "chummy" with players in my life. Talking and laughing the whole the game with the Paintsville players, coaches and Bill Mike Runyons. They even allowed the Paintsville coach to change a foul call and put it on another player. The player "Number 3" had a great game. Paintsville players made shots that they do not normally make. Floyd Central will be fine.

I was there. Really the difference was just the ability to put the ball in the basket. Central shot 7 for 35 from 3 while Paintsville shot 8 for 18. Williams shot the ball very well I think 10-15. Jr only shot 4-16 from the field the worst game I’ve ever seen him play. Didn’t score until mid way through the 2nd. Conn was the only real consistent threat. The Issac kid also shot something like 3-12 I believe. I saw someone say something about the refs. Nothing was because of the refs. While they were something like a ten three throw attempts difference for Paintsville a big chunk of that was the intentional fouls the last 3 minutes or longer of the game.

For a long time now the 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th have battled for worst region in the state. One of them win that title every year.
