Because the writing is on the wall.
Boyle Co has been down in the past but they spanked LC twice last year with a bunch of younger kids. That's only gunna get worse for LC, especially with a new coach/system.
So that 8/9 game run is officially OVER.

Funny you mentioned "new coach" That's all what said by you all when Perry arrived, Right? No more Letton, LC will be down. I say the 4 yrs Perry was there, LC did alright. And you say "Spanked with bunch of young kids" Is that young as in classification, like their what grade they are in or young as in age? Cause last time I check the superstar "PACK" that you all have are the Notorious Woodlawn Heldbacks. Now I know that's a common practice by some and it is not illegal LOL, but to say bunch of younger kids is a little misleading, but heck what do I know. Tell that Lambert dude I said hello.

LexCath people make me laugh.
You got spanked twice last season and your excuse is holdbacks? Well there are a couple of hold backs on the team (like most every team) and so let's pretend they are all in the correct grade. It still doesn't get your tail any less kicked last year. And guess what, it won't help next year either.
See ya in October!

Hello to you to, Iâm not saying anything bad about Lex Cath, but I do think there definitely has been a swing in talent for both schools Boyleâs talent is up and Lex Cathâs is down and I expect Boyle to take care of Catholic next year and if not for realignment I wouldnât be surprised to see Boyle go on a long win streak against Lexington Catholic but with the realignment I donât see the two schools playing for awhile. Nice chatting with you again FBfan4life.

Maybe I am the odd man out here but I think LC is returning a good deal of talent and if the right coach comes in they could be very good next season.
The key is the right coach. They need someone who is defensive minded in nature. Thereâs a hundred offenses out there they can run with a D1 QB prospect. Someone who can coordinate a solid defense to accompany the offensive capabilities will excel.

As a Boyle fan with Lexington Catholic being Boyleâs biggest rival and usually having to play them twice a year In my honest opinion Lexington Catholicâs talent is just down.

There is no question about it.
Across the board they are not up to their own standards. Their running game last year was a disaster against us and they lose their best RB/athlete on the team.
IMO they will have a similar record to what they did last year unless they get a transfer or two at the skill positions and their OL/DL improves.

Any word on the hiring of a new HC

I agree with what you said before theyâre Losing one hell of a head coach thatâs not going to be easily replaced IMHO heâs a better coach than Letton was.

I know you're a classy dude and we have shared our conversation on this matter in the past. I agree with the shift in talent, there is no doubt that. That BC is back with some talented players. Even when LC was those 8 out of last 9 meetings with BC, there were really no chatter from me... was there Lambert? Then came along FoSho and with this talent all of a sudden BC is a world beaters. I can remember for years past, you and others on here picked BC every year and LC and won those season. I remember you saying that your middle school kid and his class are gong to be special which they are. Again good luck in the upcoming season.... And if you all are wondering names out there for the new LC coach, BIG contender (ex Cincinnati Moeller HC)

It's a talent that might not beat BC next season, those youngin played and beat every single 6A in Lex city, Scott Co, Madison Co and northern KY teams except 1 team. So to say talented, yes. To say beat BC next season NO.... BUT THE TALENT IS THERE and they are true to their age and grade.

If you're hanging your hat on the freshman class, good luck with that. Freshman football translates to absolutely nothing on a varsity level. LC has an advantage over most of the schools mentioned due to the fact that their kids play together through middle school and run the same type of system as the high school. Most of the teams they played consist of a new group of kids from various middle schools that are playing in a new system. The best freshman at these schools don't play on the freshman team, etc.. All that being said, I have seen the LC team on 2 occasions and they are solid but very average talent and athleticism.

We ARE world beaters. We won the title.
I haven't talked smack. Know several people associated with LC and we've had this conversation. We are up, they are down. It's not smack, it's the truth.

I figure with every day they are falling behind. Canât believe someone hasnât made some calls and got a qualified man there. Will the non Ky retirement system scare most away? Or with th Governors plan does everyone have interest now.

Yes. It will scare most away. Even with some of the changes that the governor is proposing itâs still leaps and bounds better than what you can get going the private route.

The silence coming out of Knight country is deafening. They better get it together or kids will hop down the road to Lafayette, Tates Creek, LCA or FD. I am sure Fredrick Douglass has deployed recruiters to the player homes nicker:

Exactly I am sure Landis head man at Douglass is using that as a selling point to parents in bringing there kids to F Douglass LOL

FoSho Wrote:Why someone would pay that much money to attend a high school is beyond me?Several reason why parents would rather pay for tuition. Not sure if you're familiar with FCPS system, but it's really not that great. Believe me if Fayette county parents lived at other county schools i.e.Scoot Co, Woodford Co, Jessamine Co, or other surrounding counties, they will send their kids there. Hard to justify good quality education when a class of 30-40 kids per teacher and kids are sitting on the floor or standing up. Yes even with the addition of FDHS. FCPS is over crowded.
But that's another topic all together.
2.The headaches, the mis-fits, the defiant, lack of consistency with regulating school policy by administrations.. parents would rather pay tuition.
3. They FCPS frowns upon any religious groups, activities, clubs, prayer groups etc etc.
So why not if you can afford it. And who's to say some LCA or Lex Cath families don't receive tuition assistance? Not all parents are politicians, doctors, lawyers, thoroughbreds farm owners.

Malcolm Ex Wrote:Exactly I am sure Landis head man at Douglass is using that as a selling point to parents in bringing there kids to F Douglass LOLThey have brand new weight room, that's all he can sell you. Football field/ stadium is as big as Lafayette or Dunbar. Not sure if any have been to the stadium, but for a new school with new equipment, FDHS score board is no better than a middle school "flip- score" board. The gym ceiling is very low, only one side has a 2nd level. So i'm not sure what the selling point.
