Please do not tell me that you are implying Lexington Catholic? Coach Smith would laugh in your face and I know this for a fact as I know him personally. So if you have some info on a different job please share.

State Tourney should be fun. Go Eagles!
Just heard Campbell was missing 5 starters....still won by 10. Be for real! Kid that was missing is not an impact players. So saying "That explains " is an over statement. I'm sure he's not as good as the big athletic 7th grader they played up against Campbell. That 7th grader is good.

I knew that would get you back. Lol
Now comment on our athletic 3A accomplishments vs your 6A "accomplishments" (lol) while you're here trashing 14 year olds. Or better yet, the next time you go away, don't come back.

An amazing Elite 8 in Championship Bracket with the following 4 Advancing:
Harrison County
Southern (Lex)
JCTMS
Lyon County
Harrison County beat a tough Meyzeek in a game back and forth 39-32 and will play Southern (Lex) who beat a traditionally tough North Pulaski in a real tight one 39-36
JCTMS (Louisville) beats a real good St Pius team from NKY in the thriller of the Elite 8 39-38 and now plays a high scoring Lyon County team that was just too much for Crosby 50-4 (Louisville)

If anyone is in contact with Boyle's Middle School BB coaches, please let them know that the deadline for 7th Grade State at KBA that is playing this weekend is tomorrow (Tuesday) by the end of the evening and that 8th Grade KBA deadline is January 30th (evening).
Would be great for them to play as have seen them play in the Salt River Conf and looked good, they are a CKY team and we have 75 teams currently for each grade (7th and 8th) with some really good competition.
Have them call KBA at 859.219.9271 or text at 859.338.3131
We can get them signed up fairly quickly on the phone... Many Thanks

I was told they aren't participating in the KBA tourney. Don't know why other than most of them play up on Freshman/JV teams too.
Really kinda shocked they aren't playing in it?!?! But I can't say I'm disappointed.
01-26-2018, 09:35 PM
Thanks for the info.... I heard that also they will not be able to play because some of their players got moved up to Freshman/JV. Would have been great to see them play in the 8th State because there are some really good teams and a large field (over 80 teams), but understand and wish them success playing Freshman/JV rest of season....

Boy you must be jealous of Boyle as many shots as you take at them no matter what forum or sport itâs in.

He runs the KYMSFA and has had a chip in his shoulder for some time now when it comes to Boyle Co. He has always had a problem that we weren't in it and anytime someone mentions that it's not a REAL state title he acts like you've killed his dog.
It's a pretty good organization from what I have seen it just isn't worth it from a Boyle Co perspective (we won't be participating in it again from what I'm being told). Proof is that I've said all along that our Salt River Conference has proven to be a great proving ground for KHSAA State Titles in high school and playing in one in middle school is not necessary. Every kid whose name is on the wall at BCMS for a SRC Football Championship has won a KHSAA State Title at BCHS.
02-05-2018, 06:42 PM
I would also argue that the middle schools who play in the KYMSFA and have won the Middle School State Title have went on to win them in high school as well. The KYMSFA has done a great job to increase middle school sports in the state.
I have seen the benefits of being apart of member schools in the KYMSFA. I wish all middle schools would compete but I understand some schools don't want to. Whether is be cause they don't feel they could beat the other teams from the state or because of basketball season interfering.
It was good to see Boyle in this year, they made a great run and best of luck to them in future.

We played 17 games this past season and 3 in the last four days with SRC title game and semi and finals of state. That's too much football and we are obligated to our conference first and foremost.
There are some disappointed adults that the kids had to endure that schedule. The goal is high school not middle school. I personally hope we don't try it again.

That’s a lot of games and the risk is a lot.
I understand some conferences taking priority over state.
Who all is in that conference?

This is code for "we thought we had a good chance to win it all this year so we did it. We found out it was a little tougher than we thought so now we're gonna discredit the team that whipped our tail and won it. We won't do it again next year because we lost this year."

Or basically chuck smiths recruiting ground. It's not a coincidence that most of these school fees bad high school teams. It's because Boyle plays them, scopes out their best players, and turns them into eagles/rebels.

Not really, it's a good plan. I just like to acknowledge a good plan when I see it.
What job is chuck smith gonna take? Who will be his successor this time? I think that while he is a great OC, Chris Pardue has shown he can't lead the program at the level that is expected.

Nah, I'm good. Plus, as long as Boyle county is in direct competition with Corbin I choose to make it my business.

You and I both know you're praying for two things:
1.) Chuck Smith DOES retire (or make a move to a college team).
2.) Boyle Co stays in 3A.
And I can't say I blame you.

The one thing that I don't understand about Corbin coaches/fans is this.....why they have such an inferiority complex? You see this thread/discussion wasn't even about you. It was a discussion about Boyle Co and yet you wound up here to make yourself "seen" and remind people of your "accomplishments". It's actually sad to be honest.

While that may be the case for most, it's not the case for me. I personally hope just the opposite. Same thing with belfry. Gotta beat the best, to be the best.
