I think he has to be in contention. I think he has been better then ball and all his crap. But really it's Ben Simmons or Kyle Kuzma but after them it has to be Mitchell. Mitchell is averaging close to 20 points a game right now.

With Donovan Mitchell playing this good this early as a rookie it makes me think that Rick Pitino was actually holding him back at Louisville.

No. It's not even close. If the ROY was awarded today, the vote would be overwhelmingly for Ben Simmons. I would take Tatum over Mitchell.
