This little guard is making a big impact early in the Season. She is averaging 24 a game with two regional wins under her belt already. I keep hearing about Caudill from Hazard, Profit from Perry Central and Higgins from Knott Central, but people need to put her on the radar for 14th Region Player of the Year.

I donât know if it was an oversight but she isnât listed in your post. Sheâs already won it once after her junior season last year, and is averaging 34 ppg and 12 reb through 3 games this year. She committed to Murray State University.

Big oversight, thought she was a Senior last year. Still Mullins put up 30 against Hazard and would have had at least that if she had not been pulled from the game against Jenkins, little girl is only a sophomore, but playing like a seasoned veteran. Leslie Countyâs Coach is more about team ball than individual stats. Not a bad thing just would like to see what she could do with the chains off.

Gibson is obviously the most dominate player in the 14th, but when you talk about the best guards, you've got to include Mullins. I'm a PCC fan, but got to put credit where it's due. In past years her role at Leslie has been to control to offense and distribute the ball. This year she needs to score more. She's EXTREMELY quick and maybe the passing guard I've seen I a while. That being said, I'll put her right there with Hall, Caudill and Higgins. They are all fun to watch.

Mullins and Myers burned the net with the 3 shot in the few games I saw Leslie play last year. Theyâre very good players. If teams donât get out in them they will do a lot of damage from deep.

I find it odd you left off another Perry Central guard.

Not an OUNCE of disrespect to Proffitt. I don't consider her to be a true point guard. More of 2. She is a very talented player.

This little one will be a dandy in a few years. Bring her back over to Knott and we will put her in the Train academy.

As for "pulling her" in a Jenkins game? Why was she pulled? The score on KHSAA says 83-50. My guess was she was "pulled" because they were beating the Lady Cavs pretty bad. And for the take the chains off comment....have you ever watched a LC game? Leslie's coach has never put chains on anyone in my perspective. Promoting team ball should be at the forefront of the mind of any coach too. Probably why they always are under-rated and then beat people year end and year out.
Hats off to the Mullins kid. According to the stats she's averaging 24.0 in 2 games. Ive been a fan of the girls basketball thing since 2002 when my daughter played. I've liked the way the Leslie Co program has worked, especially the last few years the Collett guy has been there. Class act that produces solid teams with solid character.

Heard Leslie took this bunch in with open arms when our Perry crew was trying to steal you from Knott. Better stay on board there.....looks like the "chains" has turned her into and freed her up to be a 30 point scorer. Wink, Wink!

Not my daughter, unless she is still in second grade. Got kids in Hazard, but they are still years from playing. Just enjoy seeing her succeed after the years of watching her at the Plex. Seen her play for three different teams in one day when she was younger. Always enjoyed calling her games.

Profit is a heck of a player!

Knott had Mullins and didnât want to use her, I know her Dad can be a handful, but kid has talent.

Mullins kid is a nice player. She is very efficient and understands the game well. Glad she is having a good season.

I've known Mullins dad a long time. Never seen or heard anything from him that wasn't positive in nature. I'm feel certain that Leslie's coaches are glad he made the move to Hyden. I personally wish he'd stopped in Hazard and hooked up with the Bulldogs.

Mullins and Myers is that whole team.

She is a sophomore and doing some really good things. I think the guard duo at Leslie will be hard to contain in the next two years.

Great player. Two more years to go? Whew!

Watched the Mountain Classic Tuesday and saw a tired Leslie team. Not the best performance for anyone on the court that night and South played great. Just a recipe for a bad night. Knott did the same thing last night. However, Knott and Leslie will right in the thick of things this March along with PCC. It'll be one of those 3 in my opinion.

It was an up hill battle, too must to ask of Leslie or Knott to play that type of talent on a days rest or back-back-days. Not taking anything from South or HC, they are two VERY good teams.

I agree, it will be PCC, KCC or Leslie in the end.
