Raceland @ Paintsville 10/17
#1
Start this one over after several complaints.
You all know the rules were updated.
Talk about the game or get the boot.

Simple as that.

Carry on.

Go Rams!!!!

This will be a better game the second time around. Raceland 21-16 over Paintsburg!

nice jab

Prediction could happen though. I expect a low scoring game.

Paintsville 21-17

I think the Rams are due a good victory. It just feels like raceland has discovered the potential finally.
#8
Raceland has establish an early lead in this game and not allow Paintsville to gain any momentum. If Raceland can limit the big big plays and take away the energy of Paintsville's crowd then I think they have a chance. Raceland has some good athletes but based on what I saw in the last game against Paintsville it looks like the Tigers have the Rams outmatched in the strength and conditioning department. Raceland has to figure out a way to use their speed on the edges because Paintsville is too strong up front for the Rams to get into a 4 quarter battle in the trenches.

Totally disagree with being out matched in strength and conditioning, now saying they are better upfront would be more accurate, imo Raceland has more team speed and more depth. It’s gonna be a very hard fought game but Raceland wins with eliminating the big play and having officials from out of the area

Perhaps I should have been more clear in my statement about the strength and conditioning. We have some big strong boys without a doubt but Paintsville just looked stronger the last time we played and it seemed like they were pushing us back on every play. I also believe we have more team speed and using it will be the key to winning this game because I don't think Raceland can win by going to go toe to toe with Paintsville playing smash mouth football.

I think fourth quarter play is going to be the major deciding factor in this game, and that makes me nervous for Paintsville but only if they enter the fourth with a lead. Paintsville is notorious for giving up on teams when they think the game is sealed. Raceland can beat Paintsville but it will have to be through momentum. From what I saw in the last matchup, the rams have very little chance at establishing a run game against the tigers, but threw the ball very convincingly late in the game. If Paintsville comes in and plays the way they have been playing, and don’t let up, this game is 100% in Paintsville favor. Both teams come into this game with a chip on their shoulders; Raceland is out for a win against Paintsville after consecutive regular season and post season losses, and Paintsville is playing for their shot at making it over the semi final game for the first time in decades. Between this game and the Pikeville/Hazard matchup, we have two of the best games in the state right here in the mountains on Friday. I just wish I could attend both. Good luck to both teams in a safe and fair game, these are the games we wait for all year as fans.

Paintsville - 28
Raceland - 14

If this game goes into the 4th quarter and it is close then I really like Raceland's chances. We have been a strong team in the 4th quarter all season and Paintsville hasn't really been challenged into the late stages of the game. I also liked the killer instinct that I saw from Raceland last week against Paris. That was a fight that I haven't seen from them this season and if they can come with that Friday then they can give Paintsville some problems.

You obviously didn’t watch the Paintsville/Hazard regular season game. Paintsville can be clutch when they need to be (1st and goal on the with 40 seconds left to go, Paintsville D had been on the field far too long, and Hazard had the momentum.) pretty sure Paintsville stopped Hazard on the 4 to win the game. I’ll take that as clutch.

Raceland has to be throw the ball to be able to run the ball , the reason Raceland couldn’t run the ball is Paintsville put 8-9 in the box , Raceland line will have enough trouble blocking one on one but when they put more in the box our running game is over but if Damon can hit some of the wide open receivers and make Paintsville respect the pass it will open up the run game
#15
I agree with another footballnut, Raceland will have to pass to get those outside linebackers out into the flats to help their running game. Paintsville has two really good inside linebackers so you have to get a body on them. Raceland going to have to sustain long drives and finish to keep Paintsville’s offense off the field. Plus you still have #3 out there to contend with. Going to be a interesting game, good luck to both teams and injury free game to both.

That's what happened against Paris last week. I really liked the late game adjustments and how we utilized the passing game. It has been there all year but it hasn't really developed. If we can put together a solid passing game Friday night to go with the defense then I think we will have a good shot at winning this game.
#17
We are a totally different team when we go up tempo. Idk why we haven't done it more through out the year. Damon seems more poised in an uptempo offense.
#18
Raceland has to get started early in this game. We can't wait until the second half to start playing out best football. We did that in the first Paintsville matchup and we lost. We did that against Paris and we were down 9-0 halfway through the 3rd. We pulled it out because Paris was an inferior team. Paris game should have been a running clock. We played very bad 1st half football against Paintsville the first time. We can't afford that the second time. As far as the Reffing goes.....I just want a crew who keeps control of the game. As far as game penalties go it wasn't badly called last time. It was just a free for all and that takes away from the game the kids on the field are trying to play.

I️ don’t think it was the passing game in the second half as much as it was Paris was wore down , our line is huge and was wearing on them along with the fact they played almost their entire lineup both ways the lack of depth was huge advantage for Raceland .

I believe the tigers are just to strong up front and Chirico will have the DBs ready to go
#21
I figured ol Blue Bird would be chiming in since he knows so much about the Tigers. Anxious to hear what he has to say sounds like he knows them better than anyone else.

Let me simplify it for you:
11/17/2017 Raceland at Paintsville......CAKE WALK
11/24/2017 Hazard at Paintsville.........CAKE WALK
12/1/2017 Paintsville vs. Beechwood...NOT A CAKEWALK BUT A DEFINITE TIGER WIN

For their sake I hope the Tiger players don't read this and believe it or they will be sorely disappointed. Paintsville is a really good team and should rightfully be considered the favorites to win the east but to view any game as a cakewalk only sets you up for disappointment and failure.

Let me make It simple for you ..
Paintsville thinks Raceland is a cakewalk next week they can come to Raceland and watch them play in the state semis

Weather is now 10% rain and about 45 degrees at game time! Hopefully it holds there!

I would think the rain benefits Paintsville even though Raceland has a solid run game too.

They had about 12 yards rushing against Paintsville
