An argument could also be made that Greenup could be added to that list ahead of Paris as well. Especially with how they played in the latter part of the season.

Hope for a raceland win?

I think Paris will have trouble with Raceland. They have played 3 teams with an above 500 record for the year. You would think they would schedule some tougher noncofrence teams. If the Refro kid gets to play it will be a miracle or some really good strings pulled. He didnât show up till three games left in the season. Heâs a real good athlete but poor judgements on his part. Wish Paris and Bourbon would go ahead and combine. It would make them a really good team..

Greyhounds get checked into the smackdown hotel friday night!

I think Paris gets exposed for what they really are Friday. An ok team riding high on a cupcake schedule.

Paris gets to show if they are for real

I also want the RAMS to win the only bad thing about a Rams win it keeps Paintsville at home and I canât figure out why Paintsville wouldnât be pulling for the Rams

Im always pulling for the Rams when their not playing My Tigers that is! Paris won't be able to do much with this Raceland Defense! Looking forward to the 2017 Rematch! The Paintsville Raceland Riverly has given us so many Great games!

I agree, Bluebird, this has been a competitive matchup for the most part. Like to see the Rams end the Tigers’ winning streak soon, though. Hopefully, as long as the Rams don’t fall into a trap game looking forward to Paintsville, we’ll get our chance.

This game worries me because it is easy to overlook a team if you are looking forward to a game that might not even happen. I remember in 2012 this happened to us when we played Pikeville in the second round and we overlooked them and were more focused on a rematch with Fairview the next week. That lack of focus resulted in Pikeville winning that game and the Fairview rematch never happened.
Despite how "soft" Paris' schedule may have been the fact is they are a 9-1 team that is confident and will be playing with a chip on their shoulder because they aren't getting much respect. The Rams better come ready to play Friday night because the Greyhounds won't lay down and they will be playing to win this football game.

I can assure you that our boys are not overlooking Paris. They are very well aware of who would be next but they are on a mission to get that opportunity. Paris will play with confidence but they are going up against a monster defense like they have not seen all year.

I'd like to see a Ashland vs Paintsville game. I myself would give the nod to Paintsville over Ashland.

If you're referring to how many times he's changed schools I agree. Hasn't played for the past 1 1/2 years. Not sure how he's eligible at this point, but regardless, the RAMS will just have to be aware of his presence when he comes into the game.

Can a kid practice if he is not eligible to get his 10 practices in.

Ashland, Paintsville, Greenup, Somerset, Portsmouth, Paris if ranking Raceland's opponents. Greenup played Bourbon Co closer than Somerset did. Greenup was down 7 to Ashland with 3 min left in the game and scored more points on Ashland than any team has all season. IMO no area team improved more than GC over the course of the season.
Raceland 27
Paris 14

My boy Brian Washington doing his thing at Paris great job

Don't you have to play in games to be a game changer? And looking at his stats, I don't understand the game changer has less than 500 career total offensive yards...rec and rushing combined.

I have said it all year long and I will say it again. Atheletes have not hurt us this year. Speed has not hurt us this year. Lack of offensive consistency has kept our defense on the field too much and eventually got worn down. Happened in all of our losses this year. Held Ashland to their least off sive production, kept Somerset in check outside of a few big plays, did the same thing against Portsmouth West. Now, if we can run our offense like we did against Russell and Brossart, using the intermediate passing game more and keeping the tempo up, we are more effective and a different ball team. Refro is a great athelete, but he isn't going to be the kid that hurts us. A big strong physical run game can hurt us, but atheletes don't worry me bc we have a pretty good secondary for the most part and good overall speed on that side of the ball.

I think Raceland will win this game and earn the trip to Paintsville next week.
Funny how these playoffs are set up. Raceland can wave at the Bourbon County buses making the trip on 64 tomorrow. Then they can wave at Johnson Central making the trip on 23 next week.

To my understanding the new kid will not be eligible this week. I have no idea if that is true or not, just what I've been told. I really think the gap is wide enough that it wouldn't matter. I don't see this game being as close as people seem to think.

Even if the kid is eligible you have to wonder how well he would mesh in the locker room. Putting in a new player this late can create a lot of friction because it is taking away a spot from someone that has had it all season. From a group cohesion standpoint I don't think it would be in the best interest of their team to do that but who knows maybe I'm wrong.
As far as tonight goes, Raceland has to come out ready to play and they can't be thinking about the Tigers in blue. The ADI published a piece today talking about a "collision" course between Raceland and Paintsville which I don't agree with at all because it takes away focus from the teams playing this week and honestly it is disrespectful to Bracken County and Paris to consider them as "placeholders" until next week.

Heard that the Renfro kid won’t be eligible till next week if they win
