One of the funniest things (to me at least), was 4 Casey fans, and about 7 Bell county Bobcats were some of the first to get there (myself, our mayor, 2 buddies), and the Bobcat kids/players sat behind us. We became buddies, those were great kids those Bobcats, hilarious. Then the Belfry folk started rolling in, 2 hours+ early. I was cracking up at the Bell kids cheering WILDLY for Belfry and they knew the Varney kids (always a Varney kid), and were especially cheering any time he did anything! Man that was a fun game. I feel Corbinw as the 2nd best team in 3A last year for sure. Belfry was unreal.

Oh and the stuff the Bell kids yelled to/at the Corbin kids was far less flattering than to Belfry. Lmbo. Boys being boys.

I LOVE the fan bases that go overboard in supporting their teams. Middesboro used to be the best!!! Knox Central was another good one, too.
As long as it isn't criminal, I just think it adds to the atmosphere for the kids to dress up and be loud and proud!!!

Belfry fans are motivated, too. I just haven't seen them as much over the years as I have the teams in the 13th.

I fully expect another meeting this year. I had to be in Lexington last year, and my husband and I drove past that game in Corbin. Good Lord!!! I had thoughts of stopping but after we saw the crowd, we just came to the house.

Haha, I rolled into Corbin at 4:30 last year, wanted to make sure I could get a place to see the game better. The RED was everywhere. On Belfry's side we were packed into those bleachers like sardines and there was 5-6 deep standing along the fence line.

Granny, if we meet Corbin this year, its in Pond Creek, hope to see you there!

A 4 hour bus trip to Louisville Central for a true away game is no cakewalk my friend. Ya gotta admit...Belfry has the more difficult road to the Regional Title than Corbin because of that road game alone. hh::biggrin: If Corbin had to go, I'd say the same for them.

Hearing on the radio that Jim Cantore is in a storm chaser plane and flew over the eye of the Hurricane which is about 120 east of Nibroc. Boi said he had never seen anything like it, wowza!!
