Johnson Central VS. Jeffersontown Predictions..
#31
Congrats, you my friend have class. I know the Eagles appreciate your support!
  I can't believe everybody would get on here and post blowout threads. I know the 15th Region is not the strongest in the state, but at the same time it is not the weakest either! I think you guys are just jealous and can't stand the fact that this team represents the 15th is not your's!! I think JC is the best in the 15th this year and will be a power house again next year.I can't wait to Wed. night so everybody can see just how weak they are!! I also think if any other school such as Shelby Valley,Pike Central,Belfry,Prestonburg,Paintsville,or even my team Sheldon Clark went to state they would get beat worse than you say JC will!! I will stay true with any East KY team that makes it to the state level I don't care if they had to play against the Duke "Blue Devils"!! I would root for them to win !!!

EAGLES ARE #1

good luck jc make the 15th proud

Anyone with a lick of sense would predict a blowout.. but stranger things have happened..

Jtown -    81
JCentral - 52

i am gonna have to say that jc has a chance in my book because of the fan support.  i hear that they are taking 16 pep buses. but if they dont then they already know that they made this county proud.

Out of all the teams in the 15th that could have won, I think Johnson Central probabily matches up with this team the best

Why?

They have the shooters to stretch the defense
They have Kyle Rice who can hold inside with anyone, not saying better but can hold his own
They play physical, which is the way most Louisville teams play.
They have quickness and some descent ball handlers.

Heres my prediction they could loose by as much a 50 or if they come out on fire and exicute, play calm, take care of the ball and dont get intimidated it coud be close...Who knows crazier things have happened.

J-Town is 27-3, but one of their losses came Louisville Christian Academy(10-15) who plays alot like JC, and has the same style and same type players and Size as the golden eagles.

So it is possible that they can hold their own..Good luck frome everyone in the 15th Region(at least most)

Dont really think this one will be to close, but Good luck to the Eagles....Like everyone has said, You all have made Johnson Co very happy and go to Rupp and represent the 15th region well....Good luck Eagles

JC will be satisfied by just being there and it will hurt them.
Jeffersontown by 18.
#38
Well I think JC will get beat by around 20.  IDK if anyone has actually seen Christian Academy play that is posting on here but I'm sure they aren't anything like JC.  To say Rice can hold his own against anyone in the state is an overstatement.  He's 6'2 170 soak and wet, he done well with the undersized 15th by just backing down and dropping one in.  I don't believe he'll have that ability against guys 6'6 or 6'7 230.  Well I guess we'll see most Thursday, but I've got my fingers crossed and hope they at least do up to their ability.

Come on guys...have some confidence.

Be optimistic....at least let the boys think that you believe in them even if you don't .

As for me, I do beleive that JC will put in a better showing than you guys are giving them credit for.

Go Eagles!!!!!!

YEA! Go Eagles...Cut the nets down at RUPP!  :lol:15th region is the weakest region in the state...so i dont see any reason to have some confidence...you can be optimistic all you want but you take JC and play in a region like J-Town is in and i bet they wont have 4 wins...
#40
I think some JC fans are going to be surprised when they see how good J'Town actually is...
#41
I certainly would hope that Johnson Central could pull off the win but they are really in for a battle. I am not sure they have played many teams from down state and especially the likes of J-Town. It will be a difficult challenge for them and being jealous has nothing to do with it. I was for them in 2000 when Coach Turner took them and was very proud of the way they played. Good luck to the Eagles and their staff.

Being a Paintsville fan and having watched the Tigers play in a few State Tournaments, I know upsets happen often in the first round. Looking at both teams on paper I don't think JCHS matches up with J-Town athletically, not meaning that's bad for Central.
In my opinion Central will need to slow the ball game down, make it a half court game and not turn the ball over. They must beat the press but only attack the basketball when it's wide open. Once the press is broken, they need to pull the ball out, run their set and take good shots.
The first three to four minutes of the game could determine the outcome. If Central plays nervous and turns the ball over, it's going to be a long evening for them. If the don't turn the ball over and hit some shots, it will give them the confidence they need to play.
The Eagles must control the pace of the game and the boards.

the record books are full of teams that were not supposed to win.how soon we forget about little small school paintsville winning the state championship not to long ago.
Two things:  Johnson Central is not a little small school, and this Johnson Central team isn't the Paintsville team of 96, or anywhere close to it for that matter...
#44
Eagels have there work cut out for them but I hope they win.
#45
Everyone should have more faith...any team is beatable...but JC is representing the 15th at Rupp...soo even if ur not a JC fan root for them anyways because theyre representing every team in the 15th.
#46
We are rooting for them, but we are being realistic also.  I just hope they don't have an embarrasing performance for the 15th.
