49-14 MHS with the 14 for PT coming after the clock starts running and we put in the jv.

Where is the PT faithful. You guys really need to get back behind your team.

running clock

Maybe PT will review that tape where CAL put on a clinic.

Looks like Harvey plans to attend this game as a VIP guest of the Tornado. That could be a huge help to PT

Oh yeah, the one playoff game that we lost prior to the state championship in the last 8 years. Terrible huh. See ya come Friday.

Can we please get a poll on this? It is one of the longest running rivalry games in the state.

We are behind our team, now as always. Posting messages on this board is not a measure of how much or how little we support our team.

What would they learn exactly? That they should petition the KHSAA to rule MF's best defensive player ineligible? Surely they don't need to review that film to know that a team being forced to play without the heart and soul of their defense changes what they can do schematically.

Looking like it could be a very wet night!

It's okay, this is one of the few years that we hold the size advantage as well as speed advantage on PT. By a pretty good margin as well.

Everybody should know by now Mayfield just has the Best Coaches, the Best Players, really no need to play anymore.

Looks like they are going to play the game in John boats. GC and McCracken had meeting about changing game time. I understand they stuck with the regular scheduled time.

I remember 2009. Mayfield had control of this game until it was stopped just after half time for lightening. PT came back out and made a game of it. I think it ended at 21-12.

The latest map I have seen projects the storm to track more to the south and east. As of today, the NWS shows a 30 percent chance of showers Friday night, but a 60-80 percent chance starting Thursday and into the day Friday. Should be a mudder.

I wonder if PT would let MF fans come over and tarp their field?
08-30-2017, 09:26 PM
I would bet not. I would say they may forget to turn the sprinklers off that day as well.

According to you it wouldn't matter anyway . But if you would like to tarp it come on over

I root for Tilghman every game except one and this is it, but, I do hope they get some continuity with there coaching staff and get back to being the PT of old.. If they do, this run that Mayfield's on against them, won't last that much longer..

If they do, this run that Mayfield's on against them, won't last that much longer..Thanks, and most of the true Mayfield fans would like to see us come back to where we were before this whirlwind downward spiral of the last few years in order to return this series to the exciting matches like it used to be.
There is still support from the fans here at PT, and I think we have an excellent coach here now to lead our program in the right direction.

I think all MHS fans root for PT most of the time. God knows, I have been blasted so much on here over the past 3-4 years for predicting a return to their glory. But, this week is different. We want to make 12 in a row.

A lot of people will disagree, but the PT downward spiral started with the championship. A group of extraordinary athletes (2 now in the NFL and several went to D1 and D2 schools) let PT win games despite very marginal coaching.
The offense was predictable and the mistakes and penalties were horrendous. The championship also delayed a coaching change for several years. Wyatt was a lightning rod for controversy and there were a lot of kids and parents who because of that chose not to be a part of the program. Wyatt had his strengths but also was an icon for a lack of self restraint and sideline civility.
The games that PT won were due to outstanding athletes and not so much offensive coaching. When the athletes had finally all departed 3-4 years ago, the wheels started to come off in a public way. I personally think the program is in great hands now. Hope it comes back.

If you ask me the downward spiral started with the departure of Cox. But it doesn't really matter to me where we were or who's fault it was, I'm over that and ready to move forward.

I feel strongly that Mayfield is the better team. But are you really bigger and faster than PTHS? Have you seen this years crop of tornados. Did I just here Kirby got injured?
