Congrats to JC, I am not surprised. I will say this, Shelby Valley is the most improved team this year from the beginning of the season to the end of the season hands down. Those young guard are incredible.

   Good job Eagles!!! Great game Kyle. Good luck at Rupp!!!

If Cade Riddle had touched the ball more than four times in the second half there wouldn't have been a need for a last second shot. Shelby Valley shot the ball well the whole tournament but didn't go inside near enough. Congrats to Johnson Central

Welll , I will start the 2nd guessing (with the advantage of hindsight).
If I could have made the call on theÃÂ last Valley possession ( very limited b-ball knowledge ) ,I would have put the ball in Cade 's hand first( because he had been the most consistent with his {limited} touches tonight)ÃÂ , and Mitchell's second.
This may have been the plan had Bryant not fell (he may have been instructed to penetrate & dish...good call if that was the case. )
SV was setting up the right play but Bryant just lost his balance.ÃÂ That's just basketball.ÃÂ I am sure he was going to penetrate or dish to Cade Riddle.ÃÂ Booher did a great job with this team, just a bad break at the end tonight!ÃÂ Congrats to Coach Starnes and the Eagles.ÃÂ They found a way to win in three very tough games.ÃÂ Great job!!
Please don't misinterpret my post , I did not intend to be critical of Coach Booher (Actually , I'm one of his biggest fans) , nor was it my intentions to demean the play of the young Bryant kid (IMO , one of the best , if not the best , underclassmen in the region ) , I was merely attempting to beat a couple of posters (with an agenda) to the punch.

Congrats JC, enjoy your trip to Rupp.ÃÂ Both teams played great and this was a great game to watch.ÃÂ Hold your heads up Valley, we're proud of you!!!!! You guys are young and next year may be YOUR year.

Congratulations to JC!
I remember a few weeks ago everyone was writing JC and SV off. Both teams are GREAT examples of what hard work and determination can do! I am thrilled that JC won, but if it turned out with SV winning, I would have cheered just as hard for their team. I just love the two young gaurds! They made a lot of 15th region's best players look mediocre in this tourney!! SV has a great tradition, and I see coach Booher keeping that alive! SV fans you have a great coach with a lot of class!! Treat him well. #32 for SV, keep your head up man! Most people won't remeber the way you dominated the first quarter. You are one of the main reasons SV built that lead, and you had a great tourney!! Hope you are an underclassmen, I will enjoy watching you play again in the future!

I hope Trimble is taking notes somewhere.... First year coach in Starns and he gets the job done. Congrats JC....
03-12-2006, 10:11 AM
Congrats JC, represent your region well at state. Great job for Starns to get done in his first season what Trimble couldn't do in several seasons, and never did.

Congratulations JCHS on a big win.
From what I could tell on the radio, McCarty was clutch again. Good job to him for keeping a clear head.
Congratulations to Lando for all tourney team! WE ARE PROUD!
NOTE ~ Let's not beat the hell out of the kid who called the time out when there wasn't one. For some reason, these are the type of things that get discussed for YEARS. I have already seen some posts asking who it was. It was a mistake, let's let it go.
Congratulations to all of our mountain teams on this years tourney! It was interesting to say the least!

Good luck Johnson Central at Rupp. We hope that you make the 15th proud and we would like to see some hardware. All in all the 15th tourney appeared to be what it was talked up to be.

Great Job JCHS!!!! Excellent game! You kept going and that's what counts. Hats off to your pep section, they pushed you as much as your coaches. Good Luck at Rupp!!!

Congrats Johnson Central

Note to coach Booher take talented experienced upper classmen over unexperienced undersclassmen. You need a TO.
03-12-2006, 03:24 PM
How can he do that if the experienced upperclassmen didnt have enough class to stick it out and play for him?

Thats because he didn't want the better players or upper classmen he treated them like shit and he wanted young talent and that's exactly what he got. Understand now, if you treat someone like shit they dont want to be around if you treat them good they do, thats the case. Why didn't he want the better players maybe because they liked Rowe and you know that's his arch rival.

I agree, from what I understand the boy is an underclassman.ÃÂ Either way though I believe if you would have put any kid in that position, he/she would have done the same.ÃÂ The game was coming to an end and he was down with the pressure what else could he have done, the only ones around were Central boys he had to do something.ÃÂ
Good game SV you put up an awesome fight and have absolutely no reason to be down.
Congrats to the Golden Eagles, keep playing strong and as a team.

03-12-2006, 06:21 PM
Should have been Valley's game, but inexperience leads to mistakes... the 8th grader is completely awesome though.
03-12-2006, 06:44 PM
GOOD JOB Johnson CENTRAL!

No, sorry. That team would be Pikeville. (See District Finals, P-44 SV-39)
