Valley was down by 1 with the ball, a slip at half court.... Valley called time out without having any.  JC made the free throws and got the ball back with less than a second to go to pull it out.  Congrats JC on the win.  Valley, you did your school proud.

any truth to the rumor that Bill Mike Runyon is crying?
#8
Congrats to JC, 15th title goes out of Pike County for the 1st time in 5 seasons....
Congrats to SV also though...Nobody thought they would make it that far with such a young team but they did, and they return a ton for next year...
#9
Congratulations Johnson Central

I was a little worried in the 1st quarter being down by 9 points. They never gave up and fought their way back. Coach Starns and staff has done a terrific job this year. Good Luck at RUPP!

I was pulling for JC in this one. I have to say congrats to SV too though. I never imagined them making a run to the regional final earlier in the year. Congratulations SV on an AWESOME tourny tun. Now JC you know what to do. GO DOWN TO STATE AND REPRESENT THIS REGION!!!!! Go win us a game JC. Show em what the mountains have to offer!

Welll , I will start the 2nd guessing (with the advantage of hindsight).
If I could have made the call on the  last Valley possession ( very limited b-ball knowledge ) ,I would have put the ball in Cade 's hand first( because he had been the most consistent with his {limited} touches tonight)  , and Mitchell's second.
This may have been the plan had Bryant not fell (he may have been instructed to penetrate & dish...good call if that was the case. )

Congrats Johnson Central... Good luck at Rupp!

Congrats Johnson Central.  You never gave up.  Great game Kyle "MVP" you deserved it.  Johnson Central Fans best in 15th Region.  See you at "RUPP"... :1:
#20
Congratulations to JC.  Great game
#21
Congrats to JC on you 15th Region Championship.  Sounds like both teams played a good hard fought game.  All games in tourney were close.  Didn't JC just beat Pikeville by 3 in the opening round?
#22
Good Luck at Rupp!!!!!!!!!!!
#23
Good job Eagles you've made us all proud!
#24
Awesome game if I may say so.  I had my doubts but the Eagles pulled this one through.  Show them how its done guys and make us proud at state.  All players had a great game but you have to give credit to Kyle Rice.  He showed us all what senior leadership is all about.

TOTALLY AGREE.... 2 big 3's by Jamie at the end and then the T and tyler got the shots and then the foul that sent Jamie to the line... This is team work it took you all to get this far, dont forget that!

SV was setting up the right play but Bryant just lost his balance.  That's just basketball.  I am sure he was going to penetrate or dish to Cade Riddle.  Booher did a great job with this team, just a bad break at the end tonight!  Congrats to Coach Starnes and the Eagles.  They found a way to win in three very tough games.  Great job!!
#28
Congrats Central!
Congrats Valley and Booher, great season.  I think Valley was the true Cinderella team in the tourney, nobody thought they would even get past Paintsville. Good job to both teams!
