Anyone know of any AAU teams. I know when I was in high school Mike Haney put together an AAU team every summer and took the girls to a couple tournaments. The summer of 2002 his team consisted of girls from Paintsville, a couple from SC including Kelli Jo Moore, a girl from Pike Central who was pretty good. Why don't someone start a team for this summer with the local talent that will be returning next season and even a couple that are graduating this year.
Personally I would like to see Pup start one with his girls and add Jarrell, Griffith, Carroll and Ritz in to the mix, that would be one hell of a team IMO.
What's everyone's thoughts?

According to my high school coach...If you coach a High school varsity team you can't coach an AAU team.

An assistant cannot coach AAU during the school year if he coached at that school. He could coach an aau team if none of the players wasn't his. After the school year ends then he could coach a team, but that is when the head coach starts with summer ball.
