KYMSFA 2017 Semi Finals & Championships announcement
#1
For immediate release:

KYMSFA is pleased to announce an update to the 2017 State Championship weekend.

KYMSFA will be continuing it's great relationship with Bryan Station High School for semi finals on October 28, 2017, and the Championship games on October 29, 2017.* Special thanks to Coach Parks and Mr. Smith for their continued support of the KYMSFA.

KYMSFA is excited to announce that there will be a second semi finals site for October 28, 2017. Frederick Douglass High School will also be hosting semi finals games. Special thanks to Coach Landis and Mr. McPeek for their support of the KYMSFA.

The addition of a second site will help tremendously in the scheduling of the 8 semi finals games played that day.*

What divisons will play where will not be confirmed until after regional finals.*

For Immediate Release:

Regional Host Sites update: To those schools that have sent notification of wanting to host regional finals thank you. After some discussion, KYMSFA is going to consider the possibility of having more than 4 regional host sites this year in an effort to try and curb some travel logistics. Now this will not be a perfect attempt by any means, but our attempt is to do the best we can in advance of the brackets being built. One of the biggest reasons for the regional finals sites is having KYMSFA oversight before the semi finals. We think we can have 6 locations for regional finals games this year. That would mean some sites could have anywhere from 2 to 5 games potentially. (there are 16 games total to be played) If any school/site (that hasn't already expressed interest) would be interested in hosting 2 or 3 Regional Championship games please let me know by September 1st. The date for regional finals is Saturday October 21, 2017. If you would like to discuss in more detail please contact me.
