2006 Ford Mustang!!
#1
Well my dad finally broke down and bought me a 2006 Ford Mustang.  Not a GT, but it's got the power.  Shifting is a little hard and something I'm not used to but I'm getting the hang of it.  Just thought I'd share it with ya guys.

I hate you........

I have always liked Mustang's and would kill for one!!!!!

That's awesome!  I love those cars.  I think I saw you in it the other day... is it blue?
#4
Yep it is blue.  I think I was behind you.
#5
Congrats! I'm so jealous lol, I need one of those in my life!
#6
I think I saw you driving it around town the other day.
#7

#8
That's cool...wish my parents would get me a nice car now..not to mention when I am out working making my own money, shame on you BC. lol Congrats.
#9

#10
i had a 73 mach1
351 cleveland
4 bolt main
detroit locker rear
mediterranian aqua

very sweet ride

love the new ones
#11
Congrats on getting your car
#12
i had a buddy that had a 76 mach 1 i think. it was nice..

my first mustang drained me of money..

3.73 rear end
shorty 1 1/2 in. headers
2 in pipes
flowmaster exhaust
msd ignition box
33lb injectors
70 mm throttle body
a few more things
and finally

a vortec supercharger running 8 lb of boost
#13
That's cool! Does it have the V8 or the V6 in it ??
#14
It's a V6 5 speed.  Couldn't afford insurance on a v8.  Besides I got it for the beauty and not the speed.  I have a kid now so I'd like him to have a daddy when he gets older.
#15
No shame in the V6 ... it makes more power than a Mustang GT running the 5.0 of not too many years ago. Chevy's last V6 Camaro in 2002 was similarly more powerful than the Z28 of a decade before when the third-gen F-body was replaced.

Here are a couple of places for you to learn and talk about your V6 ...

the stock gt's with the 5.0 were running about 245 hp.. the stock 6's now i think go 225 or something like that.

You're thinking of the first of the 4.6 cammers, I think.
#18
I am a GM man. But the 5.0 Mustangs were rated at 220 hp, then the 96-98 GT's were upped to 225 hp and then the 99 PI head and Iintake cars were upped to 260hp. They were all still pretty slow stock though...lol Cool
#19
hahah... ok i got my numbers a little mixed up..

stock they were slow, but all it took was a rear end gear, and a new exhaust and it made a world of difference
#20
The HP is close to the same with the new v6's and the old v8's, but the torque isn't even close, thats were you can feel the big difference between them......
#21
Your so lucky I'd love to have a Mustang, heck I'd be happy with a car that actually work mine is constently tore up. Don't think I have seen a blue mustang in the newer body style, I bet it is nice.
#22
You can also check out http://www.corral.net for information and discussion on the new Mustangs. I wish you better luck than we are having with our 05. We've had it five months and it's been in the shop 6 times so far.
