New Mexico State (23-21 / 11-3)took game one of the double header and clinched at least a tie for the conference champion ship.


Grand Canyon (35-15 / 10-4) not eligible for post season play, because they are in the final year, of a four year transition period after moving up from Division two.




In this one New Mexico State used the long ball to put this one away.

Kelsey Horton(San Clemente, Calif. / San Clemente HS) Kaitlyn Rubio(Auburn, Calif. / Placer HS) and Victoria Castro(Albuquerque, N.M. / Volcano Vista HS) all went yard for the winners.

Castro had four hits and five RBI.


Alexis Maynez(Las Cruces, N.M. / Centennial HS),Caity Szczesny(Roseville, Calif. / Woodcreek HS) each had three hits.
