Lawrence 8 Belfry 1
#1
LC with district sweep of Belfry on a cold night in Louisa. Thank goodness for a spot in RF where you can watch from the heated vehicle!

LC scores 6 in the first inning. Lead off single from Cyrus, then two run BOMB to left field by Parks got it started. Lawrence started a 7th grader who was great and very efficient with his pitches through his 5 innings on the mound. Sword pitched 6th and gave up a run. The older Fairchild kid closed it out with a dominating inning.

LC looked sharp on a night that wasn't great for hitting. Once the warm weather gets here, baseball will feel a lot better for players, coaches, and fans.

Good to see the LC faithful out chest-thumping so early! Belfry has a few surprises still in the pocket for yall later this season. So enjoy while you can.

Chest thumping? I thought this was a sports message board where fans post facts and opinions about the games?

And Belfry has something to show Pike Central and Phelps, not LC. We are finished with them, unless we meet in the district tourney......which Belfry has a lot of improving to do to get there. I believe my final tally of K's for Belfry hitters was 14 or 15 last night.....against a 7th grader......

Good luck the rest of the way and try not to be so negative. Sometimes, the other team is just better.

Evidently LC is not suppose to beat Belfry in any sport and if somehow the planets align and such a miracle happens then don't speak or type anything about it or else it is chest thumping.
