Congratulations Harlan County. I will take my crow with hot sauce only. Have to feel great for Carmichael, Spurlock, and the rest of the HC seniors.
#4
Can I get my crow with extra chesse please!

Great game played by HC. Seemed like Spurlock and Carmical were shooting into a ocean. Hate to see the hounds go down but said I'd pull for whoever comes out of the 13th! Hope HC goes and wins a few. Good luck at state!

Well played game by the black bears, especially on defense. Corbin turned them over about 5 times in the fourth quarter and I don't think they got a single point out of it. Creech gave Taylor fits and the rest of Corbin's team couldn't hit enough jumpers to win. Congrats to the Bears, I hope you keep shooting like you did tonight! Represent well up at Rupp, I'm pulling for you now.

Missed 3 shots the entire 2nd half. Not bad. Lol. You want to see what drive and determination as a senior is, just go back and watch Carmichael in this tournament. All the talk all year was about Taylor and Broughton, and rightly so, but I'll take the heart of Carmichael all day long.

Harlan County was probably the most over looked 27-3 team ever entering the tournament. Most people picked against them. Creech was clutch at the free throw line with less than a minute. Congratulations to Harlan County and good luck at state.
#9
Congratulations Harlan County Black Bears. .. :Cheerlead Thanks to Granny Bear I get a new Harlan County Black Bear shirt. I will be in Rupp wearing my shirt with eastern Kentucky pride. :worthy:

Sounds like a great one
#11
Congrats to HC. Best to you for a State Title.
#12
I've had to work all tournament and didn't get to attend one game!! Anyone know how many pts Taylor had?

Also, thank you to the rest of the Corbin fans, for showing class after a loss, unlike some others on here. We might not win them all, but we'll have class and respect no matter what. Congrats also to the HC black bears, take that southeast Ky. fight to Rupp and show them city boys what year round hard work, heart, class, and effort look like!!!

Congrats Harlan Co!

Wow, Shout out to all of the Corbin fans. Didn't think it was possible to actually read a post about one team winning without the losing team fans saying that they got screwed. Ref's cheated them. Other team bought the game off. Etc
I said it in a post before, On some nights. Your just not the better team. Its part of basketball. Every team that loses doesn't get cheated.
#15
Taylor had 23 tonight.

I have just seen the best high school basketball game EVER!!!

Before the game, the student sections packed in tight! When the lights went out, cell phones and light sticks were on and spinning. The cheering sections were yelling back and forth all night. It was sick!!! And I LOVED that enthusiasm and support each section gave to their teams.

Andrew Creech played like he was on acid. If he ever guarded me, I would be tempted to smack him, too. His defensive game tonight was the best he has played all year, and guess who was on the free throw line at clutch time!! I'll be thankful to be able to watch him again next year.

I cannot say enough about Carmical. He just refused to lose! Corbin kept coming back and coming back, and Carmical stepped up every single time. He is such a special, phenomenal player, IMO.

Hell of a game.

And, ladies and gentlemen, for the first time EVER Harlan County will play at Rupp.

Go Bears.

Great win
#27
Congrats to Harlan County on the win.

Hell of a game and well deserved from both teams. HC did just enough to stay ahead.

It still boggles my mind that HC can win a region in there first decade of existence (plus they had some when they were broke up, and yet, a school the size of Whitley has never won a region in 50 years. Says a lot about whos in charge and whats important.

Congrats Black Bears. Good to see them make it to Rupp. I was actually shocked, but they poured their hearts into it. From what I've seen and heard, it was a great game.
#29
Congrats to the Black Bears!! Carmichael and Spurlock, showed great leadership!!
