stripedofficial Wrote:Zaga, do you have a view of the scoreboard in any of the shots to see how long after the refs hand drops that the time started?
It looked like in the reverse view you could see the scoreboard when he catches it.
I'll have to look, but I don't think so.
That view was just from our replay reel in the truck and it gets deleted when we go to our next replay, so unless it went on TV we don't have that stuff saved.
I had several other angles but none of them I looked at showed a good view of the clock the entire time.

Did you not see the video zag posted? Its very clear. Ive not seen one clip where he steps on or over. If you have it please point me in the direction. Ill bet you cant produce one video with him on or over the line.

The best video for that was our TV angle and it's not definitive.
It's REALLY close, but not definitive.

He said obviously and at least twice. Ive not seen a clip that would of made me call him touching the line.
It has to be definitive for the ref to make that call there. I think your (hitter) grasping for straws at this point.

I could care less who won the game and the video I seen was from the far side of the court and it's obvious. I'll see if I can pull it up and figure out how to put it on here
01-09-2017, 01:33 AM
I could see it on film and one of the guys on the wymt crew mentioned it after the game but ill find the video when I get home
01-09-2017, 01:44 AM
Zaga can you zoom in on the scoreboard and see what it reads because it's in the background. And none of those are the video I seen

I've found my video but before I try to put it on here and you said it 100% didn't happen then I guess you wouldn't care to do a little friendly wager of whatever amount you want to
01-09-2017, 02:31 AM
And watching my videos again I didn't see Harlan county coach or anybody else signal for a timeout
01-09-2017, 02:35 AM
And the one official that you could see he don't raise his arm until the buzzer spunds

I couldn't figure out how to put the one I have on here but if u stop the last 65 seconds video on 4.06 or 4.07 then you can see his foot is on the line. its not as clear as mine but it shows it

I do not believe he had enough time to turn, dribble, and then shoot all in one second. Cordia should have been in the championship.

Watch the one that says final 60 seconds.
Its clear after cordias shot there is 1.1 or at very least 1 sec on the clock. They show a slow mo replay and the clock is right there in the top right. Immediately the ref on the baseline comes out signaling he saw 1 sec on the clock when it dropped. Hes holding up one finger.
Now when they come out he runs the baseline. At 3:06 in the video he gets super close and this is the only time hes close to the line.(you said multiple trips over the line) He doesnt cross the line. At perry there is the red paint with commodores wrote in it , then the wood floor and then a black line. He may be on the edge of the red. But he has to be on the black line to have a violation there.
And the refs hand doesnt go up until he shoots the ball. So thats also correct.
It starts up and goes down to start the clock. Not all 3 officials do this during the inbound play.
01-09-2017, 06:17 PM
Wow with every video I see there is another reason that Cordia won the game. His foot crossed twice and was past the line on entry.
01-09-2017, 08:16 PM
we stopped that video and blew up where he steps on the line and believe me its obvious. the video I have is from the side view but I cant figure out how to put it on here. if anybody knows I would appreciate it

A kid in bounding the ball can step on the line just not over the line. the line is part of out of bounds
01-10-2017, 02:23 AM
Who told u that? So if what you say is true, which it's not, then if you have the ball on the court then you can step on the line and not be out. On the line is out
01-10-2017, 04:09 AM
That's exactly right. Stepping on that line is out of bounds which is what Nolan was when he made that in bounds pass.
hitter you are the biggest cry baby I ever saw.

hitter think about it if you are in bounds and step on the line your called for out of bounds. the line is part of out of bounds You CAN STEP ON THE LINE JUST NOT OVER WHILE IN BOUNDING THE BALL
01-11-2017, 09:11 PM
Can have video review only in state chamionship game in high school but that is it! and only for the last second shot in regulation or overtime
01-16-2017, 05:05 AM
so I went and asked 7 officials and 1 that use to be over the officials and all said that if you are bringing the ball in you are not allowed to step on the line. one of them said its like a neutral zone, the edge of the line is out either way, you cant step on the line from either side. that's the way I have always called it too

Google and you will see.

I've been reading this post for the last couple of weeks. I am an HC fan, which has nothing to do with this replay. The rule below is from South Dakota High School basketball. I am not sure it is the same in Kentucky. To the original point, the ball was still in Cameron's hand, but in real time, how could you tell? While this was the "bad" call that everyone is talking about, I'm sure it wasn't the only one. Calls earlier would have changed the situation. Every call matters.

9. A player inbounding the ball may step on, but not over the line. During a designated spot throwin, the player inbounding the ball must keep one foot on or over the three-foot wide designated spot. An inbounding player is allowed to jump or move one or both feet. A player inbounding the ball may move backward as far as the five-second time limit or space allows. If player moves outside the three-foot wide designated spot it is a violation, not travelling. In gymnasiums with limited space outside the sidelines and endlines, a defensive player may be asked to step back no ore than three feet.

Then either those 7 officials are lying or you are. There's no such thing as a "neutral zone" on a basketball floor.
You called this before? So are YOU an official. Good God!!! That would explain a lot of stuff.

art. 7 the team not credited with a score shall make a throw in from the end of the court where the goal was made and from any point OUTSIDE the end line.
that's how it is written in our rule book

I wouldn't bash officials if I were a Harlan county fan I would thank them because you would have never made it to the finals of the wymt without them

The same officials that put Peyton Broughton on the line 30 times in a game versus Harlan County? Yeah, a thank you card should be sent out to those three Harlan County homers for sure. Or, how about the three that allowed Prince Akisini to shuffle his feet every time he caught the ball? Maybe a phone call and a thank you would be in order for that. The point is, you are crying over one call! Anyone could hand pick any number of calls during a game that are bad. To say one play won or lost a game is foolish. With that said, the shot was good. The kid beat the horn, which has been well established.
01-19-2017, 02:25 AM
So your saying a last second shot doesn't decide the game. Wow
01-19-2017, 02:47 AM
Hitter honey u can step on the line just not over it to inbound the ball. The line is out. Same as going to bathroom is out.
