It was a great game, both teams left it all on the floor. The basketball players acted with respect. I was really surprised by how the superintendent of Sheldon Clark acted. I understand he has children playing but he is a leader and when he acted ugly so did his fan base.

If you watched the game as I did the ref was calling a one sided game bad calls all game yes he does have kids playing and he got the right to protect his kids as do you! And as for the fan base goes were not sitting back either, you didn't see any of our fan base getting on the floor during the game and making a a?? out of our self that should have been a technical.

I was also at that game as a spectator. I enjoy watching basketball and attend many games. But, I NEVER enjoy seeing ANY kids cheated out of a chance to win. I will say this game was clearly called for one side and I was amazed that the Maggoffin County Athletic Director was influencing the referees. At any event, the players and the team should ALWAYS determine the outcome...NOT THE REFEREES! Among other fouls that should have been called, a TECHNICAL FOUL was warranted and the refs chose to ignore. I did not see the Supt. act bad, or the fan base. I saw typical fans at a sporting event on both sides, nothing more, nothing less. I do know that many videoed the game and perhaps one can be obtained and sent in to KHSAA. I did overhear some of the home team fans say that the referees were changed before the game. It is NEVER acceptable to cheat kids. NEVER!

You had a lady storm the floor during the game yelling at a ref and the superintendent was on the floor twice on the ref and he also chased them after the game. Ridiculous saying it was a one sided called game. They called more fouls on magoffin than SC.

As an outsider looking in, having watched Magoffin a couple of times, Lovely is the key to this team being successful, and IMO, the offense should revolve around him instead of Russell.

It's never the kids fault ! Missing shots committing stupid fouls turning the ball over. Fact refs do miss calls doesn't mean they are cheating! How would you line it if someone posted on the I ter et that you did something at your job and called you a cheater!

99-98 in double ot in a big district game you can't ask for much more than that as a fan! Sounds like both teams played with all the heart in the world and laid it all on the line. That's what you love about high school basketball. As for all of the extra activity between the fans, parents, refs, etc. I wasn't there to see what happened but you hate to see that ruin a wonderful game

Magoffin County benefits from the "non calls". This is the second district game that they have won by a big non call. The Johnson County game, the player clearly stepped out of bounds and the Sheldon Clark game by the spectator going onto the floor and doing backflips. A clear technical that the official can only say that he did not call it because he did not what the game to end on the foul line. The timing of the call or non call is just as important as the game dictates. It was a great high school game in which several players on both teams played the best games of the careers. Great game to watch especially when you don't have a dog in the fight.

Sounds like a once in a lifetime game. For a neutral fan i bet this would gave been the game of the year to watch for pure entertainment value , especially all the extra stuff that happened. Is it on YouTube?

Have no clue of what happened, but there should be no penelty for a fan. If there was, why not wear other team appeal and do this to get a t on your opponent. Thy are not bench personnel, so no penalty would be warranted by a rule. Game management could have them removed from the gym if it is a disturbance. But usually a good "stay off the floor" talking too during a timeout is sufficient.

But no reason for a technical foul ever on a fan. Remove them from the gym if they are out of line and protesting. If cheering their team just have game management keep floor clear.
