Final in championship of Hyden Bank Christmas Tournament

Congratulations HC Black Bears, winner of this year's tournament.

Harlan County beat Hazard in the championship game, 52 to 49 for the title.

Both teams had balanced scoring. I copied this from WYMT's sports page.

Cameron Carmichael (13 points), Andrew Creech (13 points) and Trey Spurlock (12 points) led the Black Bears.
Jake Johnson (12 points), Ryan Smith (11 points) and Wade Pelfry (10 points) were the leading scorers for Hazard.

I didn't get to see this game, but from what I'm told Carmichael manipulated the floor like a general. He is really good at doing that, too!!

Good game!!! The dawgs were able to hang tough with the Bears! In the second quarter Hazard had an 8th grader, 3 freshman and senior on the floor. Good young team!!
