With the consolidation of Allen central and south Floyd happening within the next year what are the rumors about this job.

That would be a real smart move. Get in trouble before you ever get started. I don't think the Floyd County Central faithful will be ok with that.

What about Dougie Hopkins from Adams Middle School? His dad was a long time coach and he played under Coach Turner. He knows the area and may attract some of the AMS talent.

I'd disagree. What's needed is a successful off season developed league leading into middle school. There will be gyms available to practice now. ACMS boys and girls have great coaches, Mc Dowell, South Floyd and Osborne all have fairly recent county Champs/runner up. Saying they won't be competitive is rediculous.

You could take the best 8-10 players from Allen Central and South Floyd combined and they wouldn't be the best team in Floyd County!

I was talking about middle school and that is hardly absurd and out of touch! I will say the high school should have a good team next year.

There are several good players at SF. I'm not familiar with AC middle school starters but they have a good coach. These boys will be highly competitive to make the new team. To believe they wouldn't beat another Floyd Co.team if combined is a huge stretch.
