Congrats Central. Central was my pick to come out of the region in a sweet 16 contest. Paintsville is playing good and they are going to be tough to beat and so is Prestonsburg but Pike Central has a good chance to win their 1st region title this year. Good luck to both teams next week at the Expo.

Pike Central had four in double digits. Lead by Brad Lowe with 20. Belfry had three. Jamie Case with 24, Matt Maynard with 16 and Brody Reed with 11. Dusty May got in foul trouble early. Picking up 3 at 5:00 minutes in the second quarter.

Way to go PC!!! Tyler Hamilton had an exceptional game. He made the night what it was. This win makes it 4 District Championships in a row for Central. Now all we need is a Regional title. If our boys play like they did tonight, it can be achieved.

I have never seen such hustling in a game before. Both teams gave it their all and good luck to Belfry in the Regional Tourney.

I have a question. I know that the All District team was tabulated by season stats, but why was there not an MVP or POY for the 60th District? I am pretty sure that the 58th District did a POY. Just wondering why the 60th didn't do it.

Belfry has some issuses t hey need straightened out. They didnt play good and got them self down and didnt deserve to win.
They are as talented as any team in the region but they need to get their heads on straight.

Congrats Hawks.  I think they have the classiest and best coach in the mountains.  He never gets recognition about his accomplishments and I for one think he has done great think with under-achievers!  Congrats hawks and good luck in the 15th Region Tourney from a 14th Region fan!
