Raceland at Paintsville 11/18
A few weeks ago, Raceland was knocked down, but not out. They've climbed back to their feet, put their mouthpiece back in and are ready for Round 2. The Rams have a granite chin, but do they have the punching power to hurt Paintsville back?

I have a feeling this game is going to be the football equivalent of Hagler vs Hearns. You boxing fans will know what I'm talking about.

In the words of Mills Lane, let's have a good, clean fight. Protect yourselves at all times. Let's get it on!
:yeah:
RAMDAD50 Wrote:I believe that Raceland is the better football team but we lack the coaching to get the best version of this Raceland team on the field!Thats why Scotty is always saying we have yet to play a complete game.Until they prove me wrong coaching will always hold us back! But I still love what we do at Raceland!I would rather lose with our kids then win with someone else's.

I feel ya RAM! That's how a dedicated fan should be!
big dawg, small yard Wrote:i think raceland will take this one by 2 td's second chance games hasn't been one of paintsvilles strong points in the past. like last year they thumped pikeville first game them got whooped good second game. so i say raceland will win this one by 14 or more

And the year before when Pikeville throttled Paintsville then Paintsville returned the favor knocking the Panthers out of the playoffs! Yes I know what your talking about! Good thing we have a good healthy team going into this one! Hopefully both teams come out that way!
Blue_Bird96 Wrote:25 penalty yards! A Raceland season low and they cost you! Now that's funny right there!

That's all they committed. Should have been a few more thrown on the Tiggers. Refs missed several on them Tiggers.

The first game thread was epic and priceless, fun for both sides. This one is getting ridiculous. I'm done. Good luck to both teams, hopefully the winner will come out of this without any injuries.

Paintsville 35
Raceland 28

I'm out, see yall Friday.
Honest Question blue .. Did you see Paintsvlle DB's hold Racelands receivers especially John cheery every pass play not every once in a while or a couple of times but every single time he went out for a pass .. Bc i watched the film and yes they did I just wanna know if your gonna admit it
In the last game the officiating wasn't the best but to be fair it has been terrible all year long. However in that game there weren't any calls that made Paintsville 2 touchdowns better. You can argue the run by Phelps being called back was a game changer but if that run had counted the score is still the same with the only difference being no overtime. That is all I have to say about the last game and can we please let the poor dead horse rest in peace.

On to this game. Let's say Paintsville is 2 touchdowns better than Raceland like you say (I don't believe that but that's not the point). Do you guys down in Paintsville watch football on TV? If you did then you would know that favorites lose all the time, that's why they play the game. I look for this game to be much like the first one. It will be hard hitting and a tough game for both teams. If Raceland takes away the big plays then they will win. In order to do this the defense has to show up and the offense has to sustain drives to keep Paintsville's offense off the field. If they can do that and control the tempo of the game then Raceland will not lose. However, if we play Paintsville's game and play catch up all night then this will be another Raceland team that everyone will say should have gone farther. I haven't posted a prediction score yet so here goes.

Raceland 34
Paintsville 29

Well, that's nice. Regardless of who wins or loses, I hope that ZERO players are injured Friday ! ! ! ! ! ! By the way, that is a good score, just flip flop the teams.
As far as injuries go, everyone on this thread is injured between the ears, including meself ! ! ! ! !
The thread for this game may not have as many posts as the first gamf but Psintsville will win again
Fire, passion, desire, intensity, all those Lou Holtz speach impedent (is that even a damn word?!) phrases. The Rams have to show the grit and determination I saw out of them against Ashland, I never once had a doubt that we would win that game and tbh, idt the kids did either.

In the last match up and in the following week against Russell, I saw a Raceland team play Paintsville into overtime, in that extra period, we looked like we knew we COULD win and Paintsville looked like they knew they WOULD win. Against Russell, I saw a Ram squad that looked like they SHOULD win.

Against Brossart, I saw a team go through the motions and do what they had to do to get the job done, very business like and the COACHES made good adjustments upfront in the second half defensively. Same thing in the NC game, until the last 14 minutes of that game. Thats when we hit a new gear that I havent seen all season.

I hope that momentum carries over as we travel down 23 for another epic battle. If that team shows up, good luck to the Tiggers, bc that was the team I thought we would be all year. I know the boys have it in them, they just have to make it last 4 quarters. Hope both teams are injury free after the ball game and it is still my opinion that one of these two teams are going to BG!

Wow, its Monday and we are already giving final thoughts?lol we have officially burnt our has been minds out!!!lol I am on both of the message boards, I like the other for serious talk, but man if it aint fun gettin on here and letting our ten cents (some of us a million dollars worth) known.

My good pal sent me a text about this. Sorry Boogie and anyone else who took my statement the wrong way, even though it did sound that way. Anyone that knows me, knows that I don't wanna see anyone get hurt, thats why i got the text. What I said was worded wrong. What it meant was, I hope the winner comes out injury free because I believe the winner will go to Bowling Green, if they are healthy. Hopefully both teams will come out injury free. With that being said, yall enjoy, see ya Friday, I'm out.
Just curious will foam cups be banned at this game.

Paintsville 42
Raceland 14

That's a scary thought. A Raceland friend of mine told me there about 7 or 8 players out for basketball right now.
Ramdad , don't worry about Racelands corners mikes got them coached up they will be in Paintsvlle receives like white on rice buddy .
EsseQuamVideri Wrote:That's a scary thought. A Raceland friend of mine told me there about 7 or 8 players out for basketball right now.

That's true and I know atleast one senior football player who played last year will not be going out for basketball this year
swampdonkey Wrote:I never said your play has dropped off, in fact I disagree with that statement. I do however know that we are two scores better than Raceland if you take back that pathetic excuse for officiating we got at Ram stadium.cwhat was it? I think 140 something yards in penalties to racelAnds 20 something yards? Yet you Raceland fans (even though you admitted it immediately after the game) refuse to acknowledge that we were two scores ahead of you without the obvious home cooking. I don't see how you look at those lopsided stats and argue otherwise

Guys! Officials are assigned to games by an assigning secretary. Home cooking does not exist. Bad officiating has nothing to do with where the game is played. I have seen many "home" teams get the shaft. Now, please, for the love of all that is good in this world, stop the 3rd grade playground arguments. Game 1 was a classic! I was there. Both teams played well. I don't care what either side says, these are 2 evenly matched teams. The best player on the field is Paintsville's #1. Team vs team is a wash, but the best player can and most times will be the difference in a game. Raceland wins IF they contain #1. Paintsville wins if they keep doing what they're doing. I wish I could be there to watch this one.
Orange Blaze Wrote:I'm not sure where people are getting these lopsided scores from. Sure Raceland has had its struggles and will be a slight underdog coming in but has everyone forgotten that Paintsville had to go to overtime to beat them a few weeks ago and that game easily could have gone the other way? As I said in a previous post, if Raceland isn't ready it could be a long night but I believe we will be ready and it will be a fight for all 4 quarters with the winner earning the victory in this game.

It also would have been a BLOWOUT if not for YOUR HOMETOWN ZEBRAS... with 2 Phelps td's brought back and 3 PHANTOM penalties late in the game to extend in to OT. I don't post much nor do I get upset about other post's. However, it makes me sick to see grown men attempt to cheat kids that deserve to win and played good enough to win and taint the sanctity of being an official who is there for an unbiased authority. Besides.... who calls a double reverse pass from the 6 yard line to win a District Championship...... RACELAND. You have done nothing but fuel the fire in Paintsville with this CRAP. Safe travels and good luck. :lame:

Your right, KP IS the best player on the field no doubt! They can HOPE to contain Him but can't! The Big play is what kills Raceland and there will be a few of those Friday night! Like I said, gonna be a LONG night for the little Lambs!! Just speaking after Lamb fans that say Raceland would have to put together a solid 4 quarter game which they haven't done yet in the playoffs so why would they all of a sudden against Paintsville? Can they do it? Sure! Will they? Let's not kid ourselves!
paintsville was two scores better, idc what any of you delusional Raceland fans say. Prepare to leave Paintsville broken hearted.

That was obvious leaving the first game!

I'm gonna show my age but gentleman how much were your tickets to Fantasy Island. Where you actually got to believe you were 2 scores better but it only happens there on the island where you get to live you fantasy. Now your back in the real world where it is going to be a very hard fought games that will come down to wire with 1 or 2 plays deciding the outcome of the game like last time. I just believe we will make those plays this time.

I really didn't see anything in the post that you quoted that would fuel any fires. I simply said the game could have gone the other way. I don't understand why everyone can't move on past that game because it is done and over with. What I think is funny is that it is the adults from the winning side that are the ones who are getting so upset about the last game. The players on the Paintsville team and their coaches probably have enough respect for Raceland to know that the Rams are good enough to beat them and I don't understand why the fans aren't the same way.
If we lose to Aintsville we should just hang it up. Very disappointing loss the first time.
Paintsvlle fans just trying to convince themselves they are two scores better . As far as # 1 being the best player on the field a couple from Raceland might have something to say about that

I absolutely believe hands down we are the better team. I also absolutely agree coaching hurts us every time.
