You are totally missing the point.....

In the 2006 season, the radio announcer from Covington Catholic said they were going to "Johnsonville" next week instead of Paintsville for the 3A Semi-State game.

Saying Johnsonville is a 10 year running joke.

JC rolls, in a big way.
#12
Cov. Scott's mis-direction offense was tough last season... a 2-8 record is hard to believe from the same team we played last season.

Sounds like it's still a misdirection offense this year. Unfortunately, for them the direction is backwards. JC's JV might be able to get to the semi's.The other district is will probably only have 1 team advance past the first round and none after the second. Ashland is the second best team in the region and 43-6 the first time, I believe. They should be well rested when they face Rock or Wayne.

Interesting. That's very different from when JC was with CCH and HHS.

I'm not a JC homer, and they aren't in with CCH and HHS. Matter of fact, CCH and HHS should be glad of it. No one in the district Scott is the 4th seed in can claim a win over a top 120 team in the state. I hope I am wrong, but don't see JC having to play starters in the second half until at least the semi's.

This game WILL be close until they blow the wistle to start the game then it's lights out!

You guys are sleepin' on Bourbon County. Their 5 losses were to 4A Rockcastle Co (District Champs) 5A Madison Southern (District Champs) 6A Madison Central (District Runner up to Lafayette) 5A Pulaski County (District Runner up) and 1A Paintsville (Undefeated and ranked #1 in the state). They play a brutal schedule.
#19
Hope your right. I have seen them play and don't think they can deal with JC. I would love to be wrong though.

Why is 2-8 hard to believe, that is as good or better than most JC opponents.

Two teams have a 2-8 record, both are district teams that we have to play.
If you would have read the earlier posts, you would have saw JC's schedule was already posted instead of looking like a goober head.

Looks like the KHSAA football expert finally showed up. After all, it is the first of the month so he finally had a reason to get out of bed.

The Golden Egals by 60.

Don't let JC have an inch, cause they will take six miles before you realize what happened.

Last year, Scott hung around and it took (the JC faithful almost having a heart attack) Geordon Blanton catching one of the best passes in JC history to survive and advance.

Not trying to start anything but I believe pikeville- paintsville- and raceland could beat every team in that win column. Matter of fact I think raceland actually beat about half of them. But there is no way those teams could have kept it as close with BELFRY as JC did.
