I agree that Raceland probably would not have been very competive during those years. This was a time that Russell was playing at a very high level and Raceland had not yet turned the page from playing subpar/mediocre football. Although they didn't win state, I believe that the 2002 team was the best team that Russell had during that period. The guys on that team were beasts and as much as I hate to admit it they would have put a hurting on us.

Hey in 1922 we were loaded and the Devils wouldn't play . How gives a stinky Red Devils butt about 10 years ago when some old dude can't stop living in the past we he was the water boy and now acting like he was a stud at Russell , I grew up playing Russell in the late 80's and early 90's and don't remember any studs at Russell . It's about the year and another beating for the not so Devilsih Yellow bellies

Looking at this game very closely....The similar games and common opponents by comparing scores seems it Racelands favor. But looking at the Ashland game from both teams is that Russell got to see a an Ashland team with brown playing while Raceland did not. Brown has only played 3 games not sure if he is injuried, he quit or what but I'm sure Ashland is a better team with him on the field and I'm sure they will agree... But this game is at Raceland and I expect much more intensity from them after the tough loss to Paintsville.... I'm going to say I will not be surprised if Russell wins but I think this is Raceland game and they win by a score of 28-20.

Come on Nut, I know you can do better than that. Did you use up all of your good material on Paintsville?

I watched the Russell/Ashland game and I don't think Brown had that big of an impact.

Stat wise I agree with you. But having a player with his speed changes the game.. Plus having him on the field takes pressure off others and makes you much harder to defend...but he really doesn't matter in this game as that game is history for both just stating that Russell got to see the whole cards in the deck instead of playing with a short one..,

I agree. Brown's presence definitely made a difference. Having Brown, Noah Roberts, Aroq Colburn, Tate Dowdy, and Braxton Ratliff on the field at the same time makes Ashland an entirely different animal offensively. That was Roberts's first game of the season as well.

At least Raceland had a 40% chance in BGR poll against Paintsville last week. They Only have a 36.36% chance currently against Russell! This poll seemed to prove accurate last week!

This game is going to be a great one to watch as a bystander. If I were a dedicated fan to either team, I'd have to take extra blood pressure medicine.
Someone please update this game in real time Friday night!!
Good luck, and I sure hope there are no injuries in this game!!

I predict The Rams by a TD. A lot of back and forth with both teams Defense! Russell having a tuff time Friday night trying to contain Walker's Run game in this one!

Am fans are predominantly comprised of imperious dullards, prone to boasts of an extemporaneous nature.
And also, they smell bad. Kind of like a stale fart that just lingers in the air for a while or old, smelly cheese that's been left at room temperature for a few days. It's not so offensive that it makes you want to puke, but it definitely makes you want to excuse yourself from the room.
