This is Landon Slone. First of all, I would like to start out by saying I really hate rumors. In no way am I ever leaving Paintsville, hell I wish I would've been down here my whole life. How this rumor came about is beyond me. I love the people of Paintsville and its surrundings. My Great-Grandfather and my Grandfather attended Paintsville High School. I love this school and I love the basketball program. I love my coach and all my friends down here. Alot of times many people see someone who is happy and they can't stand this, so they try and starts lies. This is all thats happened here. And for you all who think that I'm a selfish player, good think that, because anyone who knows me well, knows that I would rather see my team be successful, than for myself to triumph. Quote that this rumor/LIE is completely false!

I am one glad you are happy and good luck but if the rumor about Oak Hill was true then I would jump on that offer for your futher in basketball. not saying anything about where you are at but the college choices are a lot better for players coming out of Oak Hill then eastern Ky. but anyways good luck.

Well Landon, for one you know who I am and we have known each other all of our life. Alot of people on here start rumors or if they hear about them they love to talk about it. Landon we have had alot of good times over the years (I might as well just say that we are 1st cousins) and I wouldnt trade them for the world man. And when I watch you play basketball, rather it be at one of our houses outside, MCA or Paintsville I love to watch you play the game and you are an outstanding kid and please dont let any of this internet crap get to your head, it will ruin you because like you said when people are happy (like you) folks on here try to find something to say about you to get into your head. Your to good of a kid to let that kind of garbage to get to you. But as far as Paintsville's success on the court, you all have one of the best chances to win the Region and I hope you all do and I will be there all the way to support you guys. And I am always there for you if need to talk and so is the rest of the Slone Family. Love You Man and good luck in the Region!

Well MCfan, most people are smart enough not to put their REAL birthdate on here so that people can't figure out who they are. My best friend's birthdate on here makes him 50 years old but he is actually only 21.

If you are happy at Paintsville then that is the place that you should be. I've never seen you play but I have heard a lot of good things about you and your classmates at Paintsville. Don't worry about things you can't control, such as rumors and what fans say, and just worry about what you can control and that is your game and team. Good luck to you and your teammates in tournament play and the rest of your time at Paintsville High.

Congrats to you Landon on speaking up for yourself on here!! I think everyone will agree when I say you seem to be a good hearted kid and you really don't crave all the attention your hard work and practice have brought you.I really liked your post when you stated it was all about the team and not all about you even though everyone knows the Tigers would not be the same with you gone.I'm just glad this whole matter can now be put to rest!!! if this is Landon pay no attention to what people say people in general are jealous of your talents keep your head on straight stay focused you have some good people around you to get you somewhere in your career i will be rooting for you in life but sorry cant root for you when you play against Magoffin love to beat you every time you play them LOL and If this not Landon whoever you are leave this kid alone i know you didnt say anything bad about him but the least said on here about this kid the better let him be 16 and a kid hard enough growing up in this world with so much pressure put upon our kids its hard enough just being a kid BTW GO MAGOFFIN!!!!!!!

Landon man, you know me and you know that I'll take up for you or anyone else on that team. You are playing with what I hope to be a future in-law, Blake Bundy, and I'd do anything for that kid as well as anyone of you. I love watching you play and everyone else play. The team is starting to play a lot better, and keep it up during region. Best of luck to you and the boys the rest of the way bub.

Landon, you probably don't know me, but I've watched you since middle school (I've sen more high school games than middle school, but I've seen both). I've watched a lot of high school basketball these last few years (just ask, STAT) and to be honest, I haven't sen many players like you, and that's counting the players I've seen during the All 'A' State Tournament, and players from other states. You have more overall ability tah anyone in the region, and I seriously believe you will go far with your skills. Bill Mike Runyon is an excellent coach, and he will not lead you astray. I wish you the best of luck in whatever you decide to do with your future (whether it be basketball-related or not). Best of Luck next week at the regional tournament, I will for sure be there to watch!!!

Coach Runyon always does a nice job getting players on his team that want to play on, to the next level. He is always on the phone with coaches at colleges, sending out tapes and stats. Great Coach and a great man to know. He has many connections across the state and across the US. I look for Landon to get a lot of looks from USA(South Alabama) over the next few years, John Pelphrey is the coach there. One of my buddies was on the EKU staff of last year and had mentioned it to Travis Ford about how well he played as a freshmen and said Ford was interested. If he continues to develop in the way that he is and T Ford keeps up on him like he said he would, maybe UMass? IDK but I believe he has the talent right now to play at a Mid-Major.

and if tha really is landon slone...then dude u full of yourself i read through some of ur threads and u even brag on urself....lol man u messed up...and askin about stats when u played tha game....dude u got problems mentally....but dont get me wrong u are a good player....a very good player and could turn into a great player with the right work...
