Russell County seems to have a much-improved offense this season. I'll predict a 43-20 win. I do have to admit though that I am a little bit biased. Though I grew up and graduated a Rocket, I pastored a couple of small churches in Jamestown for a little over 2 years. I was even a substitute teacher at that time in the Russell County school system. Therefore, I may have on "Rose Colored Glasses" and not be able to make a more true prediction.

It's hard to believe how things change at a lot of these rural schools as far as competition goes. The ups and the downs that goes with the talent that graduates each year. It was five years ago that Rockcastle and Russell County were battling as undefeated teams in what turned out to be the district title game. A blocked field goal attempt of Russell County sent the game to overtime and Rockcastle made the two point conversion while the Russell County two point pass sailed high. Someone said that the Wayne County Rock game this past week was the best they've seen and I wasn't there to see it. But, the game I'm talking about was the best high school game that I'VE seen. Good luck to the Rock team and hopefully everyone on both teams get out healthy. I don't post my score/win guess on here. It's a jinx.

Rock should be heavy favorites going into this one. Russell county has had a tough road in during the middle part of there schedule. The Combined record of the teams Russell has lost to is 21-4-1, and they hung tough in a lot of those games early. Rock cant over look them. from hear on out it doesn't matter who you beat, if you dont win the next one.

Russell is a good team in a great district. They should finish fourth. But are capable of beating any of the other three teams.
