The Apple Bowl WAS between Paintsville vs. Johnson Central.






Replacing Johnson Central with Pike County Central doesn't make Paintsville's game on Apple Day week the Apple Bowl.







Here's an idea, let Pike County Central play East Carter this week...... that would free up Paintsville and JC's schedule.
I'm positive JC would be Game to lace'em up tonight vs. Paintsville in the TRUE Apple Bowl.

Just the a coach on his staff was handing out business cards recurring JC's middle school kids. All my dealing with Coach Chirico he had been nothing honorable and a godly man.

JC sent a letter to the KHSAA, I would imagine theyou would do an investigation. Who mentioned Chirico? I didn't. And now you say KIDS. I thought it was just one kid that supposedly got a card. Which is it? This story changes every time you guys get on here.

I am unaware of any report made by JC. I ask today and was told that a team in you district reported Paintsville. As for the number of kids. I am not sure if it is one two three or 10 not sure how that a factor. You saying if Paintsville only give a recruiting card to just one kid that ok. Not sure if understand your logic.

I'm not saying anything except what has been said by other JC posters. Some say one kid was given a card and you said KIDS, which means more than one. Bottom line is the kids from both schools support eachother. It's time for some of the adults to do the same. Two schools in the same county, same city, both ranked #1 in their respective classes. It's time to get on board and quit worrying about who transferred where.

if a kid wants to play for Paintsville I wish them the best of luck and hope they have a great high school experience. The issue I have is the kids that are play middle school at JC and then go over starting high school. No matter what the reason they go be it recruited or choice to go. The problem is they are taking the playing time from the other county kids.

From my observance on recent Paintsville posts, it's not paintsville fans that don't want to get along with Johnson Central. They all are crying about what paintsville titled their game for Apple day weekend, and crying about how paintsville wouldn't have a team if their players hadn't have transferred from JCHS. Meanwhile I've witnessed more than one Paintsville fan try to propose mutual support for both programs. Johnson Central has a highly respected program and I (as a Tigers Fan) am totally proud of that. At the end of the day these are educational establishments that are fortunate enough to have athletic programs on the side, acknowledge it as that. Secondly, as previously mentioned, these kids have no Feud whatsoever. It looks Very badly on the program you are supporting when you dog another school, especially one that you aren't even competing with? If there is some sort of illegal recruitment going on at any school, then it certainly needs to be dealt with. Rules/regulations are in place for a reason. A bit of a rant I know, but I just can't fathom why these JCHS fans bash Paintsville, when we (for the most part) have nothing but respect for matney's program

Sorry about the hurting your feeling. I was just having a bit of fun. But it did happen that a business card was given to an 8th grader from central. I am not sure of the intent but it did happen. That crossing the line to me no matter what the intent
