The 2 schools are only a couple of miles apart and there's open enrollment, so, the kids can go to either school they want. Graves has a few kids on their roster that used to play at Mayfield and vice versa. That's a common occurrence every year.

The answer to the question above is do something more substantial on the field. Having a banner that reads 2014 5a state runners up, doesn't impress as much as a wall that reads off the years of 12 state championships or banners that recount those 12 years plus 9 years of state runners up and 12 or so years of state semis.
