Scott County/Highlands Predictions
#31
Over the years and as many teams that Highlands has embarrassed...... they deserve to have to be blown out and have a running clock on them whenever possible.

Woodford County 50-15
Dixie Height 42-7
Warren Central 43-0
John Hardin 49-7
Harrison County 77-0; 68-0
Holmes 71-14; 77-0
Boyd County 70-6; 77-0
Pendleton County 70-0
Western 56-0
Mason County 61-3
Collins 43-0

^^^^^^^^^^^
These are just some of the lopsided scores that Highlands have put up from 2011-2015.

If a team can score 100+ points on Highlands, they need to DO IT!!!!!

Might be the dumbest post that I have ever seen on this site. Why were those scores lopsided? Did you see those games in person? Was the first team left in the game for the entire game to amass those scores?

It is understood that there are mountain haters because they could never get to the state finals as long as Highlands and Covington Catholic were on their side of the brackets.

Maybe those teams should have been better at football. While I am not expecting Highlands to win this week, you saying Highlands needs to be blown out and have a running clock put on them whenever possible, is one a hilarious representation of the butthurt mountain teams that dream of the success Highlands has had. Of the games you listed, Highlands could have put up 3 additional scores in almost all of them. I guess it boils down to this: If your varsity is unable to stop our freshmen, which team has the bigger issues. Should we tell our freshmen, "hey, take it easy on these guys they are really bad"

Dont get bitter, get better.

No butt hurt from me..... That's the way I feel.

Highlands has one of the best programs in the state, but they aren't above being embarrassed similar to what they've done to many teams in the past.

A 43-0 win in a state final is embarrassing a team? Wow. Believe that team got the revenge they wanted by winning the next year on the last play of the state final game. Many of those games had to be played because that is the class those teams were in.

It just shows ignorance it you are saying Highlands ran up the score. I have never been to a game when Highlands showed poor sportsmanship by running a score up. In the games you posted the score would be 21 or 28 to 0 with less than 3 mins into the game. Highlands would run 1-3 plays and score. Then starters pulled in 1st quarter and 2nd, 3rd, 4th string would play. Very vanilla plays called and 1st string D would not be able to stop simple run up the middle with 4th stringers. Short from kneeling the ball down in 2nd quarter through end of game, Highlands really could not help from scoring, the other teams were not anywhere near capable of playing against Highlands.

I remember a state champ game when Highlands was down 3-4 TD's at half and came back to win the game. What was half time score of HHS/Collins game? Did you want them to start kneeling the ball down when the score was 21-0, 28-0? When in a championship game is it safe to call of the dogs? Can't remember what occurred in second half of the Collins game, but I can say with certainty that Collins coach did not say one bad thing about HHS or them running up the score!. And yes the saw they needed to get better, worked hard in off season and came back, got revenge and a championship the next year. And if they could have put a 48-0 score on HHS instead of winning on last play of game, you can believe the coach would have! And no HHS fan would complain of them running up the score!

Highlands was up 30 to 0 at the half against Collins. The starters hardly saw the field the second half. That score could have been 70 to 0. And I agree with a statement in this post. Those scores listed could have been a lot worse.

Birds will not play as sloppy as they did last game. Weinrich has won a state title at the helm. His ultimate goal is to win a state title, not beat Campbell Co. He goes two platoon so he has to go deep on the roster. The talent gets spread but can run the other team down (Cooper). Going to have some bumps early and gel late more than other teams because of the amount of players playing. But this perfect strategy for making a playoff run in KY 5A. Although, I wouldn't mind a couple players go both ways.
Brain: 42-20 Scott Co.
Heart: 29-28 Highlands
