If they beat Hazard that is impressive. Middlesboro has some good skill just didn't seem like they had the numbers to compete with some of the better teams.

Found out their only loss was to eventual champion Letcher.

As I mentioned earlier, I think our skill positions will be very solid. While our lineman will be substantially bigger this year, We will still have to just wait and see.

Quite honestly, even above offensive line, my greatest worry is LBs. Hope to see some real improvement their as well.

I think they were 3-2 on the day, Beat Pikeville JV, SV, and Hazard. Lost Pike Central. Lost 1st round of tournament to LCC. I think. Nice skill players , way to few players. ! very good RB and WR, the rest not very physical. QB ok.

Thank you for clearing it up. I wasn't able to get much information. Looking at the pictures posted by UPike, I did notice a couple that weren't there for whatever reason that I know are on the team, one of which is a new TE.

Was the WR you are speaking of the Elliott kid? Long red hair. I would also imagine the RB you are speaking of is Isaiah Williams, the sophomore I've been raving about for a while.

I read most of your post, and did some research of rosters, it is a shame that kid will not have a good line in front of him. He looked real good. But , if no line will not be able to show that.

MHS Parent is back, are you driving? What team gave them the loss? The only question to how much success MHS will have in 2016-17 ,will be injury and how long some of them will stay out or Coaches overlook what they do. Will have better year, double the amount of wins.......2.

I am back Madness. I know you think I'm a bus driver or something but I already said I wasn't an employee of the system. I first thought LCC gave them their only loss but turns out it was Pike County Central. Not much shame in losing to such a huge school. I think the main question of their success is will their line block long enough for anything to happen. After that, will their LBs make contact before 5 yds deep like last year. I won't make a big win total prediction but I wouldn't predict many more than you are saying. I still think they are 2 years away from things being much better.

MHSParent if you were as level headed as that last post we could actually build from that. I agree 100% with what you said. Madness was just trying to bait people to keep this going. We have to develop linemen and get more numbers. Weather I like the coaches or not they are coaching, this year. I wish the kids the best as I know you do.

There is no shame in losing to anyone in 7-7 , it will tell you 100% of nothing as to how your season will go. It is what it is, touch playground football. A lot of people base something off it, waste of time to do so.

Our offense is our best situation and linemen will make it happen. Can not hide them.

Def is our worst side and if it gets better in the least, we can improve. But, if our best gets worse with no lineman play , we could be in trouble.

There is one thing correct in your post FO. The minute Martin is gone as Super, that will be soon, we will be looking for a new coach. They are the coaches , THIS YEAR.

I hope so, but that does make me wonder why, we take 13 players to 7-7. We do not have 25 linemen. Practice is where the proof is , so to say. I watched one day last week and no where near that number.

I know at least 18 of those listed on the roster are skilled positions players. Not sure why just 13 went to 7-7. Perhaps a few are on vacation still.

I agree, however, skill is not the concern. Line play and defense are both a major concern.

I'm actually out of town so I don't know or haven't heard anything about camp. I did know however, that I could count on you, the proud Jacket alumnus, to inform us of any alleged wrong doing. I would imagine that every single team that goes to camp probably breaks the rules in some form or fashion. Not saying that makes it ok. Just wonder if every other school will have a loyal supporter notify us when their school allegedly breaks the rules.
