I agree that Corbin game being played at Lyndsey Wilson is to far. Mayfield is traveling double the time Corbin is. I wouldnt mind the game continueing, but it needs to be played at either glasgow, allen county scottsville, or at any of the bowling green area high schools. If this dont happen, and Corbin wont meet them half way then drop Corbin, both Jonesboro AR, and Southhaven MS are closer then going to Columbia. Id still like to see Hoptown back on the schedule, and i like the idea of Owensboro being added hello "MOONLITE BBQ". There are to many schools closer. Surely the goodness a Nashville, a Memphis, or even a St. Louis area school would play Mayfield.

I like road trips myself. I would drive to West Virginia to watch Mayfield play a good opponent if I could. I just don't see the point in doing a neutral site game that far away, when the other team is that much closer. Either meet in the middle or go all the way to corbin, and make them go to Mayfield the next year. If mayfield was playing belfry I'd see Lindsey Wilson as a good choice.

Today, I had the trivia question for the week for the Red Helmet Club at breakfast. It was, "when was the last losing season for the MHS Cards?". The answer is 1963. I had them all stumped. That was 53 years ago and it was barely a losing season at 4-6.

According to my stat book 55 is right. The last season that they went .500 or worse was 63 at 4-6. 73 they went 6-4, and in 66 they went 5-4-1. The last season that they where way under .500 was 62 they went 2-8.

Mayfield was 5-5 in the regular season in 04. Finished 8-6. Get a new stat book.

Never said anythibg about 04, but since you brought it up isn't 8-6 better than .500? I thought playoffs counted.

Since every team you brought up from the 60's didn't make the playoffs and because only one team from the district made the playoffs. Mayfield from 04 had the benefit of every team making the playoffs and then played the cupcake early round games that gave them there 8-6 record.

That is irrelevant since mayfield won every district game in 04. Even if only district champion made playoffs in 04 mayfield still would have been in playoffs since they where district champions. A better example for your point would be 07, and 08.
