Play on neutral floors, the 16th is stronger. But if you go into a 15th region gym with their officials , the 15th will win nearly all the time.

Take away Piarist and David the 15th is stronger than the 1st, 2nd, 8th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 14th, and the 16th.
02-27-2006, 01:08 AM
14th imo
02-27-2006, 01:20 AM
i'll go with the 15th cause its still wide open

How can you guys honestly say the 15th is stronger? HOW? They are BY FAR the weakest of the 3. I want to see your arguments. Because teams that are ranked 10-15 in the 14th has came over to YOUR MIGHTY 15th and SWEPT them this season. And then for instance, you have Shelby Valley, who was DOWN 26 POINTS to JENKINS, and that is one of your perrenial teams there..These are just 3 right off the bat. I guarantee these ALL ARE SOUTH FLOYD fans or 90% South Floyd fans! NO WAY!

The 14th does have a lot of great teams (lcc, hazard, pcc, etc), but so does the 15th (pc, belfry, paintsville)... It would be hard to decide.. maybe the 14th is on the whole stronger.. but the 15th would put up a fight.

Belfry has lost to LCC...but also has split with perry central.
02-27-2006, 01:39 PM
Take away Pieaist and david an the 15th is stronger from the bottom to the top...
02-27-2006, 02:19 PM
They all have some tough teams but I think that the 15 has the strongest and they are pretty evenly strong. IMO.

Right you are, Statmaster, as Morgan found out in the Belfry tourney back around Christmas. Probably the poorest officiating the Cougars have witnessed this year. No way were the ref's gonna let Morgan win that game.
No doubt from top to bottom, the 16 is the strongest region with the 14 being second and the 15 bringing up the rear.

15th region is very tough
02-27-2006, 03:22 PM
All three regions are way down. I think that overall they are all about equal though. No chance one of these three regions wins a game at Rupp unless they draw each other.
02-27-2006, 04:35 PM
..Have to say that the 16th region is the toughest.. with the offensive intensity of Elliot, Boyd, and Fairview, and Morgan's tough "D"...

I would agree..not saying the 15th has poor teams, just not as strong as in past years.
02-27-2006, 05:34 PM
16th is the strongest..15th is the weakest in the state...
02-27-2006, 05:53 PM
They all suck!
02-27-2006, 06:24 PM
15th becasue all the teams are evenly matched
02-27-2006, 07:17 PM
The 14th is better than the 15th. Lee County won Johnson Central's invitational tournament, defeating the host school in the final game. June Buchanan has defeated several 15th teams. Owsley County, who has won 5 games all year, defeated the 15th's All A champ, South Floyd, at Morgan County. I don't have all the scores, byt I would say that in direct games between schools from the two regions, the 14th would have the advantage.
02-27-2006, 07:37 PM
They are equally mediocre IMO.
02-28-2006, 01:42 AM
i think the 15th
02-28-2006, 02:35 PM
IMO the 15th
02-28-2006, 04:51 PM
Sorry, I voted for the 15th thinking this was a girls basketball thread. Knowing now that it is a boys basketball thread, I would have to say the 14th. The 16th is good and I probably would have picked them had it not been for the fact that Morgan County is already out of the tournament. The 15th has some good teams, but it isn't as strong as the other 2. This is my opinion.
02-28-2006, 07:07 PM
Their are probably more 14th and 15th region fans on here than 16th but i think the 16th is stronger and more balanced than both of those regions. Both are probably the 3 weakest in the state though.

Your entitled to your opinion my friend, But IMO, you are way off base with this statement.

I agree with the 16th being the strongest, followed by the 14th and 15th.
