Talked to a guy from Russellville in Bowling Green last year. He said they should be pretty tough!

This team returns it's starting Quarterback.

This is Russellville.. Pretty impressive too

Pikeville should be tough again. They lose a workhorse in Pugh but still have Charles who should carry quite the load. Don't know if it will be Pugh caliber but they are defensively solid as well.

Rushing
QB had 404 yards n 6 TDs
Walker had 351 and 3 TDS
You have 4 others who added numbers of 18,22,7 and 23 and 1 TD.

Receiving they return
41 yards, 146-2 TDs, and 74 and 74 and 2 TDs.

I only count the numbers from returning players. QB did throw for 1310 yards but returns 335 yards and 4 TDs.

Gotcha makes sense now

Still more athletes than Lynn Camp. They also beat Pineville convincingly last year. Should be a good game this year

Never count out Beechwood. They just reload It could finally be the year Russellville gets over the hump.

I agree.. I've studied Beechwood heavily during this study and they could start 7 seniors on defense. Offense is where they could struggle losing there entire offensive line there 4 year starting quarterback and big time we and mr do everything guy in Slusher.

Russellville will have to win away in the 4th round to make it to state.

What does Raceland have returning?

Raceland returns On defense the starting line 2 of the three linebackers , one corner and safety . on offense . Qb , Rb , 5 lineman , one receiver and another receiver who seen lots of playing time that has grown about 3 inches

Wow. I think the Rams might be fighting the panthers for the east this year!

Paintsville and Kent Phelps may have something about that. Hazard may have something to say as well.

The east should be very competitive. I still think Pikeville, atleast on paper, is 2 TDs better than Raceland. 3 better than Paintsville and Hazard. But, the 2016 Tigers remind me alot of the 2014 team that shocked Pikeville in the playoffs and came within 2 TDs of beating Raceland at Ram Stadium in the Regional Finals. Keep in mind, Pikeville and Raceland beat Paintsville by a combined 100 points (give or take a few) that year and the Bulldogs coming uo next year remind me a bit of the team that lost to Mayfield in the finals. This will be another fun year of small school football.

Btw. AFN, who is the reciever that has grown 3"? Also wondering if anyone in Ramland has heard anything about Riley Potter? Spent last year at Y on the JV team (as a frosh). Has alot of size and atheleticism, but it was his first year as a skill guy. But heard he was leaving the gridiron behind to focus on hoops. Could be a big loss for the Rams, looking down the road atleast. Thoughts?

Great accessment. Pikeville will be there favorite but I don't think there is a 3 touchdown gap between the 3 schools. In going to throw Nicholas in there because of what they return and there that outside team looking in who no one really is paying attention too.

Between the 3 Raceland holds the edge with a starting quarterback returning. Paintsville holds a slight edge at running backs returning with Phelps edging out Smith just barely, Hazard holds the edge at Wide reciever with Jason Johnson edging out Paintsville and Raceland.
#55
Rushing stats for the 3.

Paintsville returns 2,396 yards and 26 Touchdowns

Hazard returns 2,084 yards and 22 Touchdowns

Raceland Returns 825 yards and 10 Touchdowns.
#56
Quarterbacks for the 3

Racelands QB threw for 1,310 yards but only return 335 yards of it.

Paintsville has two kids who threw the ball for a combined total of 59 yards on 5 of 8 passes.

Hazards in the same boat with a total of 70 yards on 6 of 6 passing.
#57
Receiving for the 3

Hazard returns 1,833 yards of receiving and 16 Touchdowns

Paintsville returns 996 yards and 14 Touchdowns

Raceland returns 335 yards and 4 touchdowns

I know stats really don't mean crap but I'm using it as to which team holds the edge on one another. I'm not saying that these stats alone make the team better but it gives you a glimpse of what the team could put up in 2016.
#58
Here's a little further

Raceland totaled 3,909 yards in 2015. They return 1,160 yards.
They lost 2,749 yards.
