In my opinion, they will sort the basketball mess first. Are they going to fire Jim Bob Hicks? If they do they have two PE jobs open. How will that affect hiring a football coach? If you hire Hampton or Johnson, well they're already in building so you have two open jobs. Do you use them for two basketball coaches if necessary? It will show Shelby Valley High Schools true intentions with that they do.

Notice: Eric Ratliff was the Dean of Students, but was still listed as a Physical Education teacher. They may or may not keep this position open.

You are obviously very,very close to what's going on at SV,but Ratliff was hired as a PE teacher and remained under that title while he was there. Did he teach ? No, it's a matter of record. It was all a facade to lure him there to begin with. You can sing his praises,but fact is he had players that earned every win.
As for basketball,you call it a "mess". What mess? I don't see how anyone coaches basketball there. If a kid transfers from ER to SV, he is a cheater and recruiter. He is taking playing time from "local" boys. If he plays local boys and doesn't win-win-win, he needs to be fired. REALLY!!! Keep bashing him, he will only work harder. People are bashing him now for having open gym, that means "open" go see for yourself. You are entitled to your opinion as I am. I think Hicks will stay for many years to come.

I am not bashing Ratliff or Hicks, I like and see good in both of them. Two completely different personalities and coaching styles. Wonder how you will like the new outsider football coach if he has a personality that conflicts with yours. Again, What Mess?

Appears you are correct!!!! No jobs open in the school means do ing away with the greed aspect. Not giving in to political pressure does away politic( sort of). Forgetting about things that happened a decade ago means no more spite. This equals Anthony Hampton being named Head Coach.

Hampton had this job before when he took over after Howard left early in the year. If they'd wanted him, they would've hired him then.
