Some of y'all may need another week before making a predictions. Confusednicker:

1. Ted Cruz
2. Donald Trump
3. Marco Rubio
4. Jeb Bush
5. John Kasich
6. Ben Carson (his last primary unless Trump is bankrolling him)

South Carolina voters are 60 percent evangelicals. South Carolina is Cruz country. Kasich has very little chance of breaking into the top 4 but if he does, then that will end Bush's campaign.

Trump

Bush
Rubio
Kasich
Carson

If a miracle happens and this country ever elects a Jeb Bush I will no longer register as a member of the Republican party.
Hell I may start my own.

You seem to be the only member here who believes Jeb Bush is a force to be reckoned with. Trump is attacking Jeb because Trump is a bully who recognizes the weakest candidate in the herd.

Money and political ties are all that have kept Jeb in the race this long but there is a limit to what even unlimited resources can do for a very weak candidate. Donors are not going to continue giving Bush $1,000+ per vote to finish out of the money. As a candidate, Trump is right. Jeb is a "looser."

If Bush cannot finish at least 3rd in South Carolina, he should return home and spare himself further embarrassment.

That's pretty much the same as i had it. Rubio may even finish 3rd ahead of Bush.

On the criminal side, Clinton will have the minority vote and the cream to ease the Bern everyone says they are feeling. LOL

Bashing Bush has been in vogue since the Clinton days. Democrats really hated to see Reagan's policies work so well and were more than willing to give the undeserving Clinton credit for the economic boom times of the era. Bill was BTW, willing to accept the undeserved praise with an equal measure of dishonesty. Media did not help as they perpetuated the lie nightly, with prejudice.

I witnessed first hand, conversation to that end become a breaktime and lunchtime tradition with union bros and industrial workers across the Midwest and Texas, and that for the past two decades. W was not perfect, but he was a good President. Saying he was in bed with big oil and lied to congress about Iraq, is the lie that will not die.

Saying that just to say that the Dems think they can prosecute Jeb with all that left over ammo from W's days. You can see by 64's unquestioning and threadbare assault that is still the plan.

If repeatedly and falsely accusing opponents of lying, threatening to sue Ted Cruz, and making truther claims about George W. Bush are smart campaign tactics, then South Carolina is Trump country. In a sane world, a lunatic like Donald Trump would already have been hooted off of the public stage. What a despicable human being he is!

Because liberals are so rabidly sold out to their cause. That being the age old original sin of thinking that they can either attain a state of perfection by their own hand. Or as most have done. They bypassed all the hard stuff and just declared themselves to have already achieved perfection just because they said it. Waaay easier, LOL. Anyway, since libs basically worship themselves having attained sudden godhood, (some call that secular humanism) they were and are looking, for the ultimate leader of their cause which will obviously be just a man.

Up popped Barack Obama. He was a liberal, he was black or something a lot like it, and he was charismatic of sufficient caliber so as to inspire the faithful. A nice little package of diversity and tolerance (except where white people are concerned) all wrapped up for them. Where were the Republicans in all of this one might ask? Asleep, bought out, in varying stages of denial or worse, going through their own liberal transformation. In any case, they had not the spine to fight because, heaven help us all, they would not have wanted to be tagged as being intolerant or racially biased. Before Trump came on the scene they were scared to death of the stigma. If for nothing else save that one favor, we owe Trump a tremendous debt of gratitude.

But, all of that was just the beginnings of sorrow as it served to put us on notice that men were ready to accept the lead of only one man. There will shortly come the ultimate charismatic man to lead not only this nation but all the nations of the earth. Hence, all the globalism speak we hear of late. The Scriptures refer to this man as Antichrist. And he is the option, or the alternative provided for The Lord Jesus, Who men have rejected for the most part. You may recall that the Roman Governor Pilate offered the people of Jerusalem a choice between Jesus and a criminal named Barabbas. They chose Barabbas and said (paraphrased) "let the blood of Jesus be on our heads and on the heads of our children." Chilling in light of present day circumstances wouldn't you say?

That's why IMHO, a furriner was allowed.

Ah Hoot it really doesn't matter which, the days of the old conservatives are over. The only thing is I've been preparing for this and seen it for awhile now, so it's not so much a shock now the way it is to some. I've already accepted that fact and have had time to slowly adapt to it over the last 8 years. The RINO's have pretty much destroyed the GOP and it will take a long time if ever to recover. I do believe Trump will protect this country better than the amnesty brothers Rubio and Cruz, and I do believe he will do a better job with the economy than any of the others as well. We can keep fighting against gay marriage, and against abortion but times have changed and unfortunately those two things aren't going away. Do I like it? No I despise both, but truth is it's not going away. So I've decided a few things over the last few years, take care of me and my family, hope the economy gets better for those that have to work, pray the country is protected from outsiders, pray our military men and women make it home safe, other than that I'll just live in my little part of the world and not really care what others do with their life. In the end, they have to answer for their sins not me. Maybe that's being selfish but it is what it is.

Cruz has never supported amnesty. Trump has supported amnesty and so has Rubio. It really is that simple.

Let's see if I can remember what Lou Dobbs said tonight. This is the first time in history that the Republican front runner has had to face, both party establishments, liberals, lobbyists, special interests, the media, the Pope, the President, Party leaders and elitists, Mexico etc.

The point? In Washington DC a lot of agencies and lobbies are sort of cozied up to one another in a kind of interdependency of favors, control and power. So, one might ask the question why so many powerful groups and leaders are directing so much fire on Donald Trump? Would that be because they are concerned for the good of the country? In light of the recent past that seems laughable. Remember, this is the group who presently oversee border security, national security, the banking system, ObamaScare, they want to finish seeding the Supreme Court and last but not least, these are the ones who have so adeptly guided us to a staggering 20 Trillion dollar debt. Oh, and did I not just hear that Obama wants to go out with a bang ringing up a parting budget this year of 4.5 TRILLION? So if I have this correct, George W was unpatriotic in hanging 4 T on this country in 8 years, but 4.5 in one year is just fine. But I digress.

Trump is the wild card. He is the one that none of the powers that be will be able to buy, threaten, or otherwise control. Thus the not so friendly fire. So, they don't want Cruz and they don't want Trump. They will evidently, accept Hill or a criminally insane socialist. And they will accept Rubio, Kasich or unbelievably, Jeb Bush.

And we should understand something here. If it were to come to pass that Trump was somehow eliminated, all that incoming would be narrowed to fall completely and only on one Ted Cruz. The left absolutely hate him and so does the media, and roughly two thirds of his own conference. In my mind Trump has framed this election thus far in spite of his obvious flaws and thin skin.

Lou Dobbs is wrong. Donald Trump is a special interest and lobbyist and he has benefited immensely from a very friendly media that has given him tens of millions of dollars worth of free publicity.

As I pointed out elsewhere, Trump is not self-funded. He is loaning his campaign as much as it needs and there is nothing to stop him from paying his campaign back with donations, just like every other candidate in the race. Trump has and continues to solicit donations at the same time that he claims that he is self funded. This is just one of the many whoppers told by the Orange Opportunist.

Winning is not everything. Character still matters in this country, although it seems to matter to fewer and fewer people. I hope that Jeb Bush was right about one thing and that is you cannot insult your way into the White House. If Trump is able to lie and insult his way to the presidency, he will have set a very troublesome precedent.

You're correct, but it's not really that simple. Cruz did oppose the Gang of Eight, but he did support expanding legal immigration and doubling the cap on H-1B visa's which in turn does affect employment for American's.

Cruz has reversed his position on the H1B visas, but that does not explain why both Rubio and Trump are lying about Cruz's consistent position against amnesty.

I think you may have missed the arrival of that precedent by at least one administration. Lou Dobbs might be wrong, and I might be wrong, and all the other conservatives whom I respect in Trump's corner might be wrong. But I doubt it.

In my lifetime, there has never been a more blatantly dishonest candidate who has engaged in a more steady stream of personal insults on the campaign trail than Trump. His demeanor makes Obama look gentlemanly in comparison and that is a very difficult thing to do.

That was my point. Cruz has reversed on a couple of things, and with his supporters that's ok, but when someone else has changed their position then it's a big deal. Flip flopping is flip flopping no matter what the last name is. It really doesn't bother me who votes for who really, we all have our opinions, but it's really funny when people talk about one person for doing the same things another person has done, but this is all entertaining all the same..LOL

The difference is Cruz admits his mistakes and moves on. Rubio and Trump resort to lying to cover their tracks. Everybody who led the fight against the Gang of 8 amnesty bill has refuted the lies Rubio and Trump have been spreading about Cruz's position against amnesty, but they continue telling them.

I am tired of listening to Obama's lies and if I can do anything to avoid another 4 years of a dishonest president, then that is what I intend to do.

Man I agree with you on that one.

Here is what Politifact put out regarding the flap between Cruz, and Carson on the situation as it unfolded in Iowa.
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/...carson-wa/

Cruz says it was only a mistake and the fault of CNN. I leave it up to others to decide for themselves whether that is true or not but, I know what I think. CNN is struggling to be relevant again, I will say that, and Carson is somewhat laid back in comparison to the other candidates which, left him open to be a bit sensationalized. by CNN.
