I have never seen a situation like this. I know Steve Wright is guilty of recruiting, more than once. But I have thought of all the kids I can think of that he has recruited, and I can't think of one that he completely cut loose the way the PC staff did these 2 kids.

This is the 2nd time you have indicated this. I don't understand, is there a past history between the two I'm not familiar with? If so, it must not be too serious. John is coaching 2 sports at SW and Shannon is coaching at PC. I think Shannon may have been the Head Coach at Northern also under Butcher's administration.

Total hearsay but I was told that Dave wanted the SW job when it opened up. Mark Flynn who played for Fraley and was a coach under Fraley, was the intern principal and was a Fraley disciple. I heard ( once again hearsay) Mark was told from Central Office not to even interview Dave.

This led to a feud between Dave and Steve.

I don't know if any of this is true or not. Just what I have been told.

I also heard through the communtiy that John Fraley was a lock in for the PC job two years ago. Supposedly had a better interview than Voight, but Butcher wouldn't have anything to do with it. I believe he made a mistake based off what Voight is showing at Pulaski.

I personally don't think it would matter if John Calipari had interviewed for the job Voight was getting it because he was from Casey County. I think the first year they tried to remove Gover Voight was coming. I know the PC coaching job is strictly political but I didn't know Butcher and the Fraley's had a personal issue considering there is Fraley's coaching at both county high schools.
