Who you got? I think North should win comfortably but it's a rival sooo you never know.

North in a close one. South did well against Corbin and lost in a heartbreaker. They need this one or I could see some spirits being broke for South. I was told they had one or two quit this week. I have no idea if true or who. I look through the schedule and seen a lot of close games. That is tough on kids. I hope they stick together and fight it out to the end. That desperation with the already big rivalry I give south a fighting chance to win!

North by 7. But South has improved a bunch from last year.

North by 2

I hear some of the girls are struggling with the new coach's Billy G coaching style at South?

If this is close I will be shocked. North wins easily.

South jumped out 14-5, but North settled down and pulled away in the second half, won 73-50. They have a lot of ways to hurt you on offense.

Wasn't there but talked to some happy north fans. They expected to win but they seemed happy at the way they played in the third and early fourth quarter. I do feel for south but I hope they don't regroup before next Tuesday!

Olred you didnt talk to a happy south fan. lol north played probably best they played from the 4 min mark on. Norths guards are long athletic and strong. South just didnt handle it well. They are simply better right now. Stronger bigger faster. I want to put a shout out to Lawson I have been on her for couple years to improve her left hand. She has worked hard on it. good to see.

South girls had a LOT of turnovers, but they were still only down by five in the 3rd quarter. The wheels really fell off when fatigue set in due to lack of subbing and failure to adjust to half court press. For a self proclaimed defensive guru, I would think it would be embarrassing for North to score the most they have on a team all year (other than Redbird). If you run a system like that you have to have the depth of bench to support it. Tailor your system around the players you have instead of forcing them into "your" system. I'll admit it's more fun to watch, but at the end of the game, tired legs aren't stopping anybody.

I ain't so sure I buy into being tired. I played high and 4 years college and my last two years of college was Pitino style when he was at ky. We avg over 90 pts a game and I rarely came out. I will admit I rarely played defense either though. Lol

I don't know what to think about south for sure but I do know they have improved. They are 6-9 with 5 of those loses under 8 points. I really like the 8th graders collett and Steele. They are going to be very good players and the fr post I forgot her name is a load. No the coaching is not proven yet but you also can't rule him out in just 15 games. I like the uptempo for him but I also agree you can't live and die by that. You have to adjust according to your team and the team you play. Like I said I wasn't at this game but I would say going uptempo against north would not be my game plan if that is what he stuck to. I am worried about south though especially now that we are an important player down.

I like these north south games. Gets u ready for how tourny time is. Our 8th and 9th graders was 2-20 from the field vs north. Our soph and jrs was 15-30. I expect these type games to really help the youngsters down the road.

That has to have some benefit to having a rivalry game that's not a district game. Good preparation for what really matters!

North will be a hard out in postseason
