Corbin 67 south laurel 60
#1
final from Corbin. South blows 13 point half time lead. Corbin played with much more energy in the 2nd half. South didn't sub any first half. South played fast and a very tough man to man def first half. Just seemed to not have the energy in the 2nd. South missed 5 wide open layups on 2nd that would have stopped Corbin's momentum. Corbin played a great 2nd half.

Tale of two halves. South 36-23 at half south was up as many as 18 Corbin 44-24 2nd half. What was very odd is south normally don't play well against a zone and kills people when they play man. Corbin played zone first half and man the 2nd. South never went back to doing what they do against man. Feed the big post and play off that. Did it twice late and Corbin had no answer.

South up 16 in 1st period. Struggled against man in second. Guards got stagnant for SL. Goley had a huge stretch were she scored 7 or 8 points which flip flopped the game. Cromer and Davis with big games for South. Ashhurst and Jewell played very solid games.

Looks like South has closed the gap on Corbin and Whitley. You could argue that those three could be 6, 7 and 8 in the region at this point, or maybe even 5-7, and all are capable of beating anyone in the region, outside of probably Harlan.

South may have the best athletes of the 3
