Anyone who truly believes that Kash wouldn't even make an attempt to play this game has bigger issues than showing their ignorance on the Internet!! These kids have worked their whole lives for this moment-- I expect that nothing, short of an amputated limb, keeps him off the field!!

Just seems like you're tempting fate to joke around about the status of your star player.

I don't know what to think! Is Beeper.. I mean, Floppy Melo.. I mean, BigMelons telling the truth? Or JetPilot? This stuff is a bigger soap opera than "Days Of Our Lives".

I am sure Kash is fine.. And that is how it should... State wide the two teams would be classified as average... In 1A they are above average.... So neither to be very cocky.... As far as State 1A championship, I do not see either one beating Beechwood!!! But I will be cheering loud and clear for the one that wins... Two super communities !!!

Last week even though Beechwood won it shows they can be beat. I mean I wouldn't of even had Holy Cross in the top 7 teams.

I agree! Beechwood is without a doubt a REALLY good team but their not where either one of these teams are this year and shortly in Bowling Green Paintsville will prove just that! The REAL VILLE will take that crown!

These 3 teams are about as even can get. I just really hope Mr Daniel is a 100 percent for this game and win or lose he leaves it all out there. Either one of these teams will represent the east well and I just hope they got injury one another and hurt our chances at bringing the title back to the east.

LOL!!! I go POT!!!!! If you don't play rook forgetaboutit!!!
11-24-2015, 09:56 PM
They will !!! be players limping (after)this game !!! You can bank on that !!!! Probably players from both teams !!!! This is going to be a war !!! And some people are to stupid to be on b,g,r karma is a bitch!!!

Did Phelps and Trimble play early on or were they just not as involved in the offense then? Or hurt? I see both of them on the stats a little bit.
Seems like two totally different teams this time around. I have a few friends at Pikeville who say that the play calling is less than desirable sometimes... let's hope whoever that is doesn't get it twisted this time - FEED PUGH.
Panthers win this one by a score.

IMO this is all just mind games. Whether or not Kash plays is a Paintsville problem, not a Pikeville problem. I wish no harm on the kid and I sincerely hope he's healthy enough to play, kid is a warrior! But, make no mistake, Coach Mac and his staff will have these boys ready for Friday night regardless.

Absolutely! Paintsville 's Phelps is an extremely talented running back that has a good future past high school (yes he went out of the game mid way through the 2nd quarter from an injury, in the first Pikeville game) but I feel that Pugh is THE top running back in the state. There are faster backs but that kid has plenty of speed and is as hard as they come to bring to the ground! He's a HUGE weapon for any team to have much less for Pikeville to have with the other talent around him! Of course we throw some jabs at each other on here to get hyped up for this game but the one thing I'm not joking about is Beechwood not being at the level of play that either one of these teams are at right now! The one thing that worries me is which ever "VILLE" team moves on to BG may be so dang beat up from this Friday nights game that it may give Beechwood a major edge!! They could use a month in between To get over this one!!

A large part of this game will come down to coaching staff, too. Having met before.

Twice now you have made reference to coaching. Pikeville staff has done a superb job getting this team to the brink of BG. Both teams will be super prepared and the game will be decided on the field, as it should be. The players and coaches know each other well. Don't think the outcome will be decided on a genius coaching move that catches the other team off guard.

I am 48 years old and haven't played in a football game since the '85 championship game. But, with all the anticipation that has been building up for this match-up, I swear I actually feel like I have butterflies that I haven't felt since that day in Louisville. I have to say it is pretty dang awesome.

The Tiggers Oline is going to have nightmares for the rest of their lives after this game.

I see the BEST running back in the state having a huge night. Our Oline will be just as dominant as our Dline Friday night. Their Dline is weak and slow, their LB's are weak, besides Kash and he is hurt apparently (scared). The more and more I think about it, I just don't see this being much of a game. I expect this to have the same outcome as our other 3 playoff games. Might not be a running clock, but this game will never be in question.

I still see the field goal kick by Darrell Pugh missing in the waning minutes of the state championship vs Ft Cambell in '77 but I can't remember where I put my damn car keys!!!

Lol. It happens Melon. #44 dont get hurt, yall would have never been in that situation. At least that's what I've always been told by all the "old timers"

I didn't say that either team has an advantage! I was just giving my opinion. I picked Pikeville!

Pugh is a real good player, and word is he very well may not be interested in playing in college
