Serious question because you know Pikeville well. How do you think this QB will handle the pressure/atmosphere? Did he play vs Belfry if so how did he do? If not do you worry any about all that pressure on a QB that hasn't been in a game of this magnitude? Seems like he's really got their offense clicking. Pressure does funny things. I think Pikeville is playing lights out and the favorite. One thing I really like about Paintsville is they are battle tested. 2 straight weeks fumble 1st play don't flinch. Tough to replicate that when you're blowing everybody out like both teams have been. Love to meet up Fri. Been fun watching the jabs on here in good humor over the years!

QB will be fine. He was intercepted 3 times by Belfry, but that was his second start and Belfry is a different league. I think one or two of the picks were tipped balls. He hasn't been intercepted since. I don't think you can single him out, because nobody on either team has been in a game of this magnitude. QB won't be any more or less nervous than any of the Paintsville players. Just IMO. Definitely would like to meet up with BGR peeps if I can get out of traveling this week!

Very true Belfry has the best front in EKY which changes passing game. I agree neither team overall has been in a game like this. Think Paintsville has an advantage in experience especially big difference experience wise by guys handling the snap every play. Exciting man. Was thinking today this is about as good as it gets for small town football. Hard to write a better script. It's great for both communities+programs. Nice seeing both back at such a high level.

Agree with all that except big difference in handling snaps. Battaile will be making his 11th start. He is very smooth and plays like a veteran, you'll see. But this is awesome for both teams and towns. I think the winner takes it all. I already thought both teams were as good as Beechwood but if Stringer doesn't come back for the Wood they are in trouble.

The way Kash is throwing the football right now I don't think Paintsville gives up much at all to Pikeville's passing game! Gonna come down to who's defense is stronger stopping the run and the number one thing that is so important in a game Like this,... protecting the football! We got to see last year how the Tigers of late get hyped up and play Pikeville in a play off game and that 2014 Paintsville team isn't anywhere close to what this 2015 Paintsville team is! Guess that game at Hambley was more "Paintsville Home Cook'n"!

It's already been decided once hasn't it. I don't look for it to change. I do think whoever wins it, will get a shiny new silver trophy in 2 weeks.

Panthers easily overcome Tiger attempt at homecookin' twice in same season.
Homecooking? What in the world are you talking about?

I think that's what he meant by the experience comment. As for these two teams, I said it last year as soon as the season was over in the "Paintsville 2015" thread. When these two teams meet, it will be a battle. It was the first time the played and I don't expect it to be any different this game. Could go either way, but it will be another all out war. Just hope that whoever wins, they come out of it without any injuries. I believe the winner, if healthy, brings home the big Championship trophy.

Experience is going to be equal both ways, as neither team has a player who has played at this stage of the season (final four). It's going to come down to the same old things: execution, defense, and minimizing turnovers. The argument that one team or the other is more battle tested than the other doesn't really hold much water at this stage. The best team (besides Pikeville) that Paintsville has played so far has been Shelby Valley, and for Pikeville, it has been Belfry. It's the playoffs, it's 0-0 as far as records go for every game. Good luck to my Panthers, go get it, get your focus on, and #RTD.

I think the two that will make the biggest difference in this game arent who most expect. Pugh and Kash are likely to spontaniously combust by games end after they crash into eachother all night. But imo, the difference in this game, unlike last time will be Trimble from Paintsville and Battaile from Pikeville. Their development and increased involvment in their respective offenses has provided a big boost to their team's success since the first match up. One them will decide the fate of their team. Both teams have alot of tallent, but these two have provided a major spark for both squads. Kash is Kash, Pugh is Pugh, but these two have really opened up their offenses strategies. If I didnt have to be at work at 4am saturday morning, id be in attendence. Will WYMT carry this one as well?

I also think Trimble will have a big game as well but also keep your eye on Dalton Daniel! On D the kid has turned into a great Hard nosed player that will be a difference maker in really slowing down the run against Pikeville!

I do nt think yall realize how dominate Pikevilles o and d line have become since you seen us last. It will be the difference maker I guarantee it!

This moment in time belongs to Paintsville.....I Know what I'm talking about in the east in 1A. I do see Pikeville in 2016 being my pick to win it all. :betterthanexpected:

Wish I could watch this one, but will be out of town. I haven't seen Paintsville, but we 've played Pikeville and they are a very solid team. The least amount of turnovers and third down conversions will decide it.
