I will be in Pikeville next Friday night and will need and escorts out of belfry. This is awesome knowing that 4 teams will be playing football in football heaven county. 3A Corbin,3A Belfry,1A Paintsville and 1A Pikeville. What a great day in Pikeville. :Cheerlead

Time for another Pikeville flop in the playoffs. McNamee seems to fall on his face come big games in the playoffs. This week wont be any different. Very Very overrated Pikeville team against a Paintsville team that keeps improving.

How in any way can you justify this?! Pikeville has put running clocks on everyone theyve faced. Meanwhile Paintsville has struggled with a down Raceland team and a mediocre Paris team (yes i know they wer undefeated but honestly weve already talked about there schedule and how they over achieved and congrats to them) but Paintsville (the powerhouse everybody claims they are) couldnt put a running clock on so please tell me how Pikeville is overrated and will fall on their face. Coach Mac is a champion on and off the field and is a role model every parent would die to have for their child!

Paintsville has found a way to win every game. They will find a way Friday also.

The Raceland game was a result of Paintsville overlooking Raceland and Raceland playing their best game of the season but Paintsville still found a way to win as championship caliber teams do. Paintsville has been talked up a lot this season but they have backed it up every game they have played so far. As I said earlier I think Pikeville will win this one but it could easily go the other way as well.

Pikeville all night.

One thing for sure neither team will be overlooking the other. It will be the game everyone is hoping it will be. An absolute battle for 4 qtrs +. Both teams have improved since the last matchup. Paintsville is what everyone says they are. Pikeville is who they need to be right now. The "easy" wins have only turned into easy wins cause Pikeville is climbing their opponents like a tree right now early in the game. Trust us we would have loved to have gotten 4 qtrs of work since the Belfry game. Paintsville is loaded with talent. Pikeville has more. The main question is can Pikeville put BODIES on Kash for the entire game. I think so. Its time to ish or get off the pot.

This guy :please: McNamee didn't fall on his face as a player and has the hardware to prove it :flame: I think he kicks the monkey off this week. But how would it be a flop if Pikeville were to lose to an undefeated team that has beaten them once already. Tool

This ones gonna be a all out battle. Everyone's been waiting on this one since the first matchup and here it is. I can't think of a better week. Thanksgiving Thursday then some great football Friday night. Lots of excitement here in Paintsville this week.

No. 1. You don't know Coach Mac. and Pikeville football at all.

No 2. If there's any grey matter at all where your head is supposed to be, then it's leaking fluid.....my mistake.....sewage ! :devilflam

Just watched the replay on EKBTV, here is what I counted:

15 Ratliff - 13 carries, 20 yards
34 Smith - 12 carries, 21 yards (Came in averaging 131/game, tops in Class A)

Cory Smith Hazard 12 177 1577 16 131
Hazard had 110 total yards for the game, of which 45 yards were on the last drive on the second string, all through the air.

Very unofficial, but close. Defense just totally dominated the game.:yikes:

I'm gonna say same score as last time but this time pikeville Wins. Stars will shine both Kash and daric Pugh will have the hardest game of their life but both will have to carry their team. I would say paintsville has earned the right to be favored in this game this one but I have faith in my team this one will go down in history

This game is easily the most anticipated game in 1A Mountain Football in a VERY long time. It will come down to penalties and turnovers. The team that makes the fewest mistakes will put themselves in good position to take the ride to Bowling Green. I CANT WAIT!!! GO PANTHERS!!!

The unbeaten 1A team will remain unbeaten after Friday nights game! Not sure how anyone can say Pikeville is "over rated" with what they've done this season! Very talented football team and very good! If this was a normal year and a normal Paintsville team, with how Good Pikeville is right now, Pikeville rolls into BG and probably beats Beechwood! This isnt a normal year though. This Paintsville team is as strong as any Paintsville has ever had! Even though the season is towards the end, allot of people still aren't fully aware how strong this team is. It will also be nice for Kent Phelps to get his touches in a Pikeville game that he missed out on last time! I know Pikeville has improved since last time they meet but just don't think its enough! It will be the most physical game either has had all year! Good luck to both! Hoping for a hard fought and injury free game!

Phelps got 14 touches last time. I'll trade more touches for him for Pikeville's QB who is completing 80% of his passes and averaging 15 yards a carry and didn't have one touch against Paintsville last time, as well as everyone else who is getting more touches for Pikeville now.

Not sure number of games these two have played over the years or what the over all record is?
Do know they have played for many district and regional championships but never for a trip to the title game so has to be biggest game these programs have played so should be a slobberknocker. Tigers 21-Panthers 14

I will work on getting what I have in this Pikeville/Paintsville series. Probably missing some, but goes back quite a ways. Maybe some Tiger Fans can fill in the blanks!

First game I have on record was in Pikeville's 2nd season in 1928 (Had a team in 1925, no team in '26 or '27) and Paintsville won that meeting 26-0. The two may have played in 1925, but I have been unable to locate any scores for that season so far.
