Tomcat Pride: "Scott is Way Overhyped, No Way They Will End ASH-lands Season"
#31
Dang! Here I thought all this time that Pikeville was the most hated team on here.....
#32
Will you people shut up? Injured players end seasons. Period. Just like us. Just like everyone.
#33
Really, your obsession with Ashland IS disturbing. More disturbing than Pulp's constant posting. I get you hate them, we all hate them.
#34
In Ashland"s defense.. I must say they but a handful with a Championship in Eastern Ky!! Wth is wrong with me I cannot stand Ashland. I don't like JC even more. I call it now the only chance again this year is with Big Brother Paintsville.
#35
But all of Ashland's championships came before the war, the Spanish American war that is.
#36
Seriously. An Ashland team with two hurt stars. Let it go, Jesus. We saw what Central did with no Workman in Belfry. Learn humility, man.

I'll tell you what is REALLY disturbing, you arroogant feeling little TWERP is the way you waffle back and forth depending on how JC is playing and how you are either on the JC bandwagon or not...I remember distinctly a few years ago when you were about to commit suicide when JC was having a terrible year. You remember that? Do you remember when you publicly cut your "buddy" Matney to the bone just because they were struggling? You also know I don't give a rat's ass what you think, and neither did Matney..Just who is it that you think you are anyways? If you don't like the way I razz the Ashland fans just come on over and give me a little talk eye ball to eye ball next time you're in from the big city, instead of getting on here and acting like you are somebody important and wants to lecture me...You know where I'm at DOC and you probably also know I'll jack that pretty little jaw of yours too...I got news for you junior, you aint nearly as important of a little twerp as what you think you are...Get's me how a little squirt who has never played anything is an expert on everything athletic.

And seriously, you need to put your bottle up and leave the Lord out of this. My, my, my junior, how you have gotten above your raisin.

Injuries part of the game. Scott lost their best running back last week but no one said a word. They went about their business and played a team sport. One goes down next one in.

Nice win for Scott killing off the almighty Kittens!!! Maybe since Ashland fans have plenty of time now, they can tell JC fans how bad you will beat us next year.

Nah, recruiting season has begun. Ashland needs some well-timed transfers to replenish its lineup before the annual proclamations of "this is the year of the Tomcats" begin.

Without several outstanding players transferring to Ashland, next season will end much like this one did. Johnson Central has an abundance of talent in its feeder system and it is unlikely that Ashland can match that talent with its uncanny knack of attracting transfers to replace graduating seniors.

I live in Ashland and thank God the Big Bad cats went down and don't have to hear another week how great they are!!! Baker will be a great fit at Marshall with all is Punk acting self on and off the field. The school has let him get by with anything, Mark Swift and Dickey Martin will always have an accuse for the great ball player but if a regular student did half of what football players do they would be sent to the detention center! The Q back is playing because of daddy and it showed last night Ashland has many coaching problems. The head coach is neither O or D coach...... 1 A Raceland beat them 3 years in a row and they brag about it was just first game nerves that beat them. LOL Love seeing Ashland lose and dickey Fat jowls flap!:biglmao:

I thought this years players were recruits!! No hope for the kittens to beat JC in the near future!!

Hoot speaks the truth. He is being rather reserved in using "transfers" instead of "recruits". However, Ashland's top "benefactor" is otherwise occupied and isn't in a position to bankroll "relocaters" like was the case with the Huntington Prep-Illinois connection. Also, those part-time retail "jobs" probably don't exist anymore. It may be hard to enlist more deep pocketed "benefactors".

Didn't Baker get in trouble in football camp earlier this year?
#46
did ne1 actually expect ashland to pull it out this year they choke except against highlands and cov cath

WideMiddle03 Wrote:did ne1 actually expect ashland to pull it out this year they choke except against highlands and cov cath

I wouldn't call it choking. I would call it simply not being able to compete with average teams. Every team that beat the Chicken Cats this year is better than them. But Ashland will continue beating Boyd county 4 times and East Carter 3 times a year at Putnam and calling themselves great. Yea, they have tradition, tradition with doing far less with more than other schools do.
#48
The funny thing about Ashland is they bash Fairview about getting recruits from Huntington but when the rats started jumping ship when everything was going down at fairview they ended up at Ashland . Ashland had 4 starters that played at fairview 2 from Huntington and twin brothers from Boyd co
#49
I'm sure tricky Diicky was the first to point this fact out. We all know how he hates transfers by the way he goes on and on about them during the game when another school has them.

They better recruit if the team they put on the field against Johnson County Middle is all they have coming.

Or the team they declined to put on the field against Belfry Middle.

Ashland is in trouble for the next few years

anotherfootballnut Wrote:Ashland is in trouble for the next few years

Probley, but I hope not. I'm a Russell fan and I want all the area teams to be as good as possible. It will just prepare them for the playoffs playing against each other. I wish Russell never played a team they could put a running clock on. It dosentdo them any good. We saw what Racelands tough schedule did for them. They were ready for Paintsville the 2nd time around.
#54
Ashland has been in trouble. They fielded the best team they possibly could and were still not the best in the district. I think the new battle in the district will be Ashland and Greenup County for second place, no longer Ashland under the illusion they can compete with Johnson Central for the top spot.
