I figured with it being the playoffs we were done. Maybe start a KY top 25 or a "Best of what's left" for each class.

That sounds like a good idea to me. This was Gut's project, so perhaps he will change it now that we are in post season.

We will try and do the playoff rankings next year.
This will be the end of this year's rankings but feel free to start a thread and discuss with everyone who the top teams left are.

4A looks about right to me.

Looks pretty good to me with the exception of 3A. Lexington Catholic should be above Boyle. The straight up loss should be evident.

Lexington Catholic has three losses.

Central has 2 losses and are the clear cut #1. Lexington Catholic beat Boyle straight up. I don't know how much more plain you can get than that. Boyle has 1 loss and it was at home to Lexington Catholic. Boyle didn't even win their disrict, Lexington Catholic did.

Boyle plays Central next, so we will see how this shakes out. But Garrad County won't be a pushover for them I don't believe.

That I am not arguing with. Just stating the facts that Lexington Catholic beat Boyle straight up. It is ridiculous to place them ahead of Lexington Catholic.

In reality, their schedules have proven to be basically even in terms of level of competition played (basically, I know it's hard to compare exactly), and Lex Cath has 3 losses. I think that's what stick out to everyone. It's very subjective, and unless they end up playing again, it will just have to stay that way I guess.

I agree. The rankings are what they are but make for good discussion none the less. I completely understand the 3 losses by Lexington Catholic, but if we go by win losses then Elizabethtown should he at the very top then Belfry, since their lone loss came from out of state and not district play. For me the straight up loss is a no brained though.
