Final score. I am not one to get on here and bash the refs but this was one of the worst called games ever. This is not to take anything away from the way Paintsville played tonight. They played good and PC just did not play defense. Congrats to Paintsville but my boys from PC need to step it up. It's tourney time and they need to get their acts together.

An exciting game, both teams shot the ball well. Paintsville shut down the Hawks sharp shooter when Daniel Pugh was in. An electric night to say the least, from the beginning of Chelsee Jarrell singing the national anthem beautifuly all the way to the final buzzer. Paintsville played great team ball, making the extra pass all night, but sometimes they made too many extras turning the ball over several times when they had a chance for an easy bucket. PC started to run out of gas towards the end of the game and Paintsville went up 18 and put in some of the players that deserve a lot of credit for showing fantastic character through-out their career and they cut it back to 13 hitting a three at the buzzer to make it a 10 point win for the Tigers. Congrats to Kyle Bass, Brandon Murray, and Kevin Williams winning their last one on their home court. I'm very proud of Bass and Brandon for sticking with it, you've earned a lot of respect from all the Tiger supporters. Great game, best of luck to both teams as they enter post-season play.

Bad calls on both sides of the floor... a lot of no-call stuff that should have been... great game by Lowe, way to go Tigers liked the amounts of assists tonight

Congrats Paintsville

Congrats Paintsville, How many did Lowe have?

Daniel played outstanding defense on Brad Lowe tonight. Great team ball by Paintsville, everybody played good tonight as a single unit. Like Jkwon said, making the extra pass, and turning it over some. Anyone have some stats? I'd say Lowe had a bunch despite one of the best defensive outings by Paintsville I've seen this year, Landon had a bunch too. Great game to both teams, the District and Regional tournaments should be amazing. Congrats to Paintsville, great game to PCC. I wouldn't be surprised if this could be a preview of the 15th Region Championship.

I think Lowe scored almost all of his points when Daniel wasn't on him, another reason why I think he's one of the best if not the best defender in the Region. I'm sure when JR gets done with his boys from that title team tonight he may have to wait until the morning to post us some stats...lol. It was wonderful seeing the guys tonight, and they were treated to a great ball game.

How many did Lowe have?
02-25-2006, 12:49 AM
I'm making a rough estimate that he had 15-20. All but 6 came when he wasn't gaurded by Daniel, I kept that stat, but not the others.

Congrats TIGERS.
02-25-2006, 01:36 AM
Lowe has 23 points tonight. I think only 6 or 8 were on Pugh. The Tigers really came together and played well tonight.
02-25-2006, 01:37 AM
Sports OT had DP at 16, Landon at 31, and Lowe with 25... dont know how accurate they are though
02-25-2006, 01:37 AM
Lowe had 25, and Tyler Hamilton for PC had 19. Great showing by Hamilton. L. Slone for P-ville had 31. Congrats to him and the rest of the team.

02-25-2006, 02:44 AM
Congrats Paintsville.

Slone.. 31
Lowe..25
According to the lexington herald dang this was another great game.. wished it had been a little closer.. I think Lowe tweaked his ankle again.. IMO Lowe should have never played.. This game was meaningless and he should have stayed off his ankle.. You sure could tell it was bothering him in the second half although he hit a few 3's in the 2nd he just didn't have any lift on his jumper.. Paintsville fan here but i sure hope Lowe recovers for the district and they make it to the region.. There a very good team.

I was in attendance, if Paintsville plays like they did last night, they are going to be tuff in the regionals... They are 2 different Paintsville teams though, the one last night was the unselfish do what it takes to win team. The other paintsville team is the one where it is every man for him self...

Hamilton played great fo PCC!!! If not for him, 30 point win for Paintsville, IMO!

I'm just loving the way that the Tigers are embarassing teams like they SHOULD'VE been doing all year!
Congrats to my boys!!!
Congrats to my boys!!!

I wouldn't call it embarassing losses to the other teams, sure they could've beaten PCC worse than what they did if they would've kept the starters in the whole time instead of bringing in some of their other players that caused the lead to get down to 10. PBurg was a very hard fought win. Hopefully they'll continue with this momentum throughout the post season and then we could possibly see a few blowouts.
02-25-2006, 04:13 PM
yeah your sayin that it would have been alot worse if paintsville would have left their starters in....If you dont remember pc had all freshmen in and gordon varney....they didnt have ne starters in eithier....this game was alot closer then it looks....at the end of the first quarter it was 21-20 in Centrals favor....in 2nd quarter their were consecutive bad calls in the tigers favor...im not a fan of eithier one of these teams but after the calls pc was down by about 13 cause paintsville shot lights out from threes....then the rest of the game stayed the same way if not for the stretch of horrible officiating by todd duff, roger fairchild, and that red headed guy(the worse one out of the 3)this game would have came down to who ever was lucky enough to have the ball last.....
02-25-2006, 04:15 PM
congrats tigers

Paintsville was up 9 at the end of the first half. The second half within the first 4 minutes of it PCC was already in the bonus, and only had 2 team fouls, sounds like it went the other way to me. And I don't really care about who all was in the game for PCC towards the end because after 20 fouled out they brought in my buddies brother, Williamson kid he's a junior I believe, and Lowe stayed on the court until the final minute or two. A lot of walks should've been called on both teams that wasn't, charges, etc..but the Tigers won so it really doesn't matter about how many blown calls were made because their was plenty on both sides. And that ref is the brother of the guy that everyone is talking about on the PBurg/Belfry thread, Shawn Hall, he coaches the JC baseball team.
